Do NOT use sand if you EVER plan on moving it. There is a design flaw. The put both the fill hole and the drain hole on the middle of the top. The plastic base is not thick enough to support the weight if you were to use the pole as a lever to tip, so your only option to empty and move would be to detach the pole and flip this thing from the side. Think trying to flip a kiddie pool vs a sand box. We move ours around a bit so I filled it half with water and then put paving stones on the top for extra weight.

How many lbs of sand is needed to fill the base and provide stability?

This system is in our Adult age-class, but because it's adjustable it is great for kids as well.  The telescoping pole adjusts the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6-inch increments.

Perfect perfect perfect. Parks shut down = desperate times. For the price this hoop is perfect. Yes the backboard isn't great, but it's stable with water and the rim is solid. I'm a happy camper and again for 90 bucks it can't be beat. Thanks for saving my quarantine Walmart!

Perfect for the price!

I bought this basketball goal for my 12 yr old grandson for Christmas to use at my house. It was very large and substantial for the price. His 23 yr old brother assembled it and he said it was difficult but it was well worth it.  I bought two 50 lb bags of sand at Home Depot to put inside the base. The sand was $6 a bag. The backboard was a nice large size and it is adjustable in height. It's definitely tall enough for adults as well.  For the price it was a great deal. It came delivered to the front door in a day and a half.

Nicer than expected

We bought this because we wanted our kids to have fun while we have to stay home because of COVID-19. All play grounds have been closed. It doesn’t matter anymore! This is the best thing we Could have bought and this particular brand and size works for all our family to play together. Little and big.

We recently moved and during the move lost some of the hardware that went to our Lifetime basketball goal. I contacted Lifetime to get replacement parts. I described what I needed to the Lifetime service person. She told me she would send the hardware for our goal. After she obtained my mailing information, I told her I was ready to give my payment information. She told me that wasn’t going to be necessary. I didn’t even have to pay for shipping. Great company.

It's an awesome basketball hoop

This is the highlight of my home. 2 hours to put together.. hubby and I used the coding scanner and got  help from the  you tube video... nothing was labeled but we were able to match up pictures with screws and filled the base with water.  Fun for the whole family. Best $89 spent.  Hope it lasts for years. Suggestion: we have 6 basketballs for everyone to have their own with The Pandemic Going on

Family hoop time.

This company's customer service is great. I needed a replacement part and they were on it right away.  It can be put together in less than 2 hours.  The backboard does not bounce around with the base weighed down as instructions suggest.

Nice Recreational Hoop

Great product, the kids love it.  Only negative is it was shipped thru FedEx and  it 
took 2 attempts to get it delivered even though I was here when they claimed they attempted a delivery.  Again they either didn't come out or went to the wrong house.     Whenever an item sold by Walmart is sent this way FedEx screws up.   UPS never does this

Overall it's a very good hoop with adjustable heights. It's not fiberglass but gets the job done. Mine came with a dented pipe so they didn't fit into each other. I called the company and they were very helpful and shipped the replacement part at no charge in two days.

Great Value for the price

This isn't a bad hoop for the price.  The Built app makes putting it together much easier.  I would recommend for those who need a place to ball during quarantine without spending too much of their stimulus money, lol.
