Has this product been recalled?  I can't find an article about it but a few people have told me that is why there is none in the stores.

Hi, our Libby's Pumpkin may be stored out of the can, in an airtight plastic container for 1 week in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in the freezer. Just make sure that the product does not go right to the top of the container because it may expand when frozen. Product may have a separated appearance when thawed due to air bubbles. Ingredients

3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 large eggs
1 can (15 oz.) LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell
Whipped cream (optional)

Directions
MIX sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

POUR into pie shell.

BAKE in preheated 425° F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F; bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Top with whipped cream before serving.

I have tried other brands of pumpkin and always came back to Libby's. The taste and texture are perfect for cooking and baking. Pumpkin is so vitamin packed that I give a tablespoon of it to my Hybrid Wolves every day mixed with salmon oil. Very good for their digestive system and eyesight among other things.

I buy pumpkin to add to my dog's food. It contains vitamins and minerals. It is also high in fiber to keep things flowing! My dogs love it. I add it to their meals. I give them a tbsp with their evening meal only.

Much better than store brand. I use store brand for my dog's digestion. Compated to Libby's it turns an odd color when kept a few days in the refrigerator. Libby's has less ground seeds, better color and flavor. The pie recipe calls for nutmeg, but we substitute allspice.

Best pumpkin to buy!  Always fresh and works with all your recipes!  I actually buy this to mix with my Pot Bellied pig food, and he absolutely loves it!

Best canned Pumpkin

If you need to order can food online, think twice. Just received 12 cans of pumpkin puree and all of them are dented. Not small dent but very beated. I cannot believe they shipped them out without thinking they are unsafe for customer to consume dented can food.

I purchased 4 6-packs of this pumpkin over the course of 2 days (24 cans). My first delivery came yesterday, with 12 individual cans thrown into a large box without any protection. 10 cans were severely dented, only 2 were salvagable. My 2nd shipment came today, same size box, 12 individual cans haphazardly thrown in. Even with 2 5-lb bags of flour in the box, the cans did not stand a chance and again, only 2 cans out of 12 can be used. Customer Service said they could not guarantee the safe packaging of this box after I called to complain yesterday because it was up to how their seller packages it. My advice is, is if you need multiple cans of pumpkin, order EXTRA, because you will not be able to use all the cans that are delivered. So much waste for no reason, the seller should be ashamed, when all they have to do is use a bit of bubble wrap or pocketed air. I have learned my lesson and will not order this product from Walmart again; I am willing to pay a bit extra for quality product and packaging.
