Bought LeapReader and this LeapStart for my 8 yrs old special need. She very interested into words and all the activities inside the books. Very simple to use, and I'm so glad I found something that my daughter love and help her with her reading as well.

Bought this it was awesome Cant wait to give to grandbabies on Christmas for early learning. This is my sons, son. he had one when he was little. Durable and passing on tradition.

My son played with it for maybe 45 minutes but that's me being generous and it died so I go to charge it and well what do you know? It doesn't charge. I'm very upset with this purchase because it's for Christmas and of course the box is all tore up and unable to do return yet I have everything besides the box to give the return. Do not buy. All are probably defected. In photos you can see plugged in no greeen light and yes I've tried every box in my house.

i ordered an item that was on sale. i was sent one that instead of it being a sale item, one that was clearanced out because it was a return or damaged. i would not suggest shine buy from Walmart a this isn't the first time the company has behaved unethically. buyer beware.

clearance item sent

I bought one of these, when it died we charged it with the cord it came with. it didn't work so we charged it with a charger we bought for it, leapfrog brand. Charged it and it wouldn't turn back on.. We sent one back, got a new one same thing happened. 
Also, if you buy books that are higher grade than the ones that comes with, it wont-work unless you download something on a personal computer, Chromebooks Are unfortunately Uncompatible with the software.
super disappointed wasted alot of money and time!

3rd one

I bought this item for my son, he loved it. It died within 5 mins, but the box does advise the batteries included are for demo use only. i installed brand new batteries, it died within 5 mins. i thought maybe there was an issue with the batteries and opened a new pack, died instantly.
We had this item for less and 3 hours and are returning. Very disappointed.

horrible battery life

This was purchased for our 6year old son. After the second time of use, the battery needed to be charged. After charging it would not stay charged for even 5 minutes.
