its actually green!! (a bright green so it looks cool with the blue, not too dark where it blends) its really pretty and looks awesome.

Wax is lime green NOT yellow. Just received mine today.

I could stare at this lamp all day long- the colors are beautiful and the flow is so relaxing, yet unpredictable. Also, this is from the original makers of the only LAVA brand of motion lamps, not some knock off as there are so many out there.

Mesmerizing Flow

Adds motion to indoor-outdoor theme, motion depends on the weather so don't waste the bulb (snub 25w) if it's in the 60's f. Also can't switch to led cool rated bulbs but a classic buy nonetheless. Blue liquid yellow wax green illusion BEST COMBO

I also have more retro clear liquid with black wax

Outdoor theme

The lava lamp works great, nice slow moving wax flow. The wax looks like little planets rising up from the sun.

Very nice color combination

First night I tried the lamp I had it on for about 2 hrs and nothing, the wax just lay on the bottom of the lamp.  I decided to give it another try and the next night the wax did bubble but made some very odd formations and didn't really move too much.  I'm on the 3rd night now and it's been on for about 4 hrs now and is working quite well.  It does take a while for it to heat up and I would say it's worth giving it a few tries before giving up.  I was so ready to return this item but now I really do love it.  Although it's not as large as the one I had many years ago, I love the color and it does just what I wanted it to, giving the room a nice calming and fascinating feature.  So glad I didn't give up.  The photo is not the best but will give an idea of the shapes and what looks white in the photo is actually a bright yellow.  Love this lamp!!

Requires Patience

It's a cool lava lamp, but definitely gets super hot! Opened the box prior to Christmas and it worked fine.. Then when my son opened it on Christmas, the filament in the bulb was broken - had to buy a new bulb! Working fine now, good for the price.

Good for the price.. but easily broken bulb!

I bought this for my 7 year-old son. He loves it, but it's definitely not high quality. There are A LOT of air bubbles in the wax. No matter what I do, they don't come out, and they get worse the longer the lamp is on. After a while, it's just this big bubbly mess and the wax doesn't flow anymore.

Good price, mediocre quality

I don't get it. The bubbles just sit there and take forever to move or do anything. I thought lava lamps were supposed to be fun to watch and move around frequently. I'm not sure what the issue is, but might want to try another brand?

So slow

You purchase the item and expect it to work when you plug it in. The bulb blows out as sson as i plugged it in and then it difficult to find a replacement bulb. When you do find one it cost you another $5. Takes way to long to warm up. Save your money and don't buy this item.

I ordered this online and received it yesterday and it's all shook up and will not work. The blue is foggy and the yellow has separated. I can't find this in a store anywhere near me and I could order another online bc it says 1 left but I feel like this just isn't the right item to ship bc that's probably how it got ruined in the first place. It came in a shipping box like 4 times the size of the actual product box and was laying on its side so I don't recommend ordering online but I would recommend getting one in store if you can.

My 10 year old received this as a gift. It has been plugged in for 2 days. It does not flow. It's just a yucky mess.
