Handle

It's a great value for a small, effective, not-too-noisy heater. I like the fan aspect that gives it more versatility beyond simply heating. It's really tiny and the handle is generous. Can leave it on the floor or place on a table.

first time using ceramic fan heater

This is not a bad little heater. I have a 12x20 insulated shed and it heats this thing just fine with no problem. Going back to get another.

Impressed

The Heater is lightweight, has a handle which makes it easy to move from room to room. It quiet. It quickly warms my bedroom on those cool mornings and I can easily move it to the bathroom to have it toastie warm for my morning shower.

Great Little Heater.

I like the handle, the weight, and the thermostat.  The thermostat works just fine! This heater heats up my living room.  It's quiet!  I Love that it's Quiet!!  I've had mine for 2 or 3 years!  It still works great.   I'm about to order another one.  I hope the second one works as great as the first!  I'll let you know.  I'm surprised at the ratings. I bought mine in the store.  If I had seen these ratings first, I wouldn't have bought it.  But I have no regrets.  Here's hoping the second one won't be a mistake!

I Love Miine!

SO FAR SO GOOD. I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH OTHER HEATER THERMOSTATS NOT TURNING OFF, CAUSING THE ROOM I'M HEATING TO GET TO 100 DEGREES. THIS IS THE SECOND SEASON WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS HEATER.

WORKS FINE

Lasko Model CU12110 Ceramic Utility Heater with Adjustable Thermostat.  The thermostat is the feature I needed but that is the feature that did not work.  On its lowest setting it would not come on even in a 30ºF garage.  On any higher setting that would engage the heat/fan operation, it would not shut down.  I tested it by putting it in a small cabinet.  It would not shut down until the ambient air in the cabinet was 140ºF (using a cooking thermometer).  So, the only two choices were either cold and no go or a stifling 140ºF.  The thermostat knob rotated throughout its range but just didn't maintain a setting.  I think that the 140ºF temperature was probably a limit provided by a failsafe overheat shutoff breaker.  I don't think the thermostat was actually functional.  I love Lasko products.  I've had many over the years.  Maybe this heater I got was a defective one?

Overheated without temperature regulation.

it shuts off all of the time, so you fall asleep to a semi warm room, then wake up later freezing. Then, it just stopped working completely after using about 10 times.
Tried plugging in one more time just to see if it would start, it would not turn on at all and gave off a terrible burning electrical smell, so I threw it out.

Piece of junk

As with some other reviews I've read, this heater works fine for a little while and then cuts off. I have to turn it off and wait awhile for it to work again. Too bad I didn't have occasion to use it right away after my purchase. I have also thrown away the box or would otherwise return it. I do not recommend this heater at all.

pretty much a piece of junk

This heater has a thermostat that constantly fails and it will not turn on. There are stickers on it that tell you how to reset it, but that takes 10 minuets and then the next time you use it, you have to do the same thing again. On other occasions, it would just continually run, the thermostat again failing. On Lasko's website, they do not list this item.
Keep in mind that the reset instructions are "Stickers" that were added after production. An indicator that the problem surfaced post-production. Do yourself a favor and look at a different heater..

Thermostat Fails regularly

This item does not put out very much heat at all. You can barely feel the heat when your hand is a few inches away from it. I am surprised to see reviews that claimed it had a great heat source. The reviews were very misleading. I was highly disappointed after 1 night of trying 2 of them. I took them back the very next day. It did not heat my laundry room which is maybe 9'x7'. It would not even heat my tiniest bathroom which is only 5'x5'. Do not buy this if you are hoping to use it as a heat source or to help pipes or etc from freezing up. Pay more and get something better.
