LSU Purple produces a yield of sweet, medium-sized figs with glossy dark purple skin with a reddish tint. The LSU Purple fruit is light amber to light strawberry-colored. Expect a heavy main crop in July followed by a later crop that often lasts into December. <big>Plant Size</big> A baby plant, that is 3-8 inches tall, will arrive at your home in a 3-inch-deep pot. Then, raise your new baby to maturity under your caring, green thumb. <big>Questions or Problems?</big> We have shipped thousands of plants safely to their destinations; however, please send us a picture of your plant(s) within 48 hours of arrival if you have any questions or problems. You'll know your fig is still alive and will grow new leaves shortly, though, because of its firm stem and green buds. In the winter, figs go dormant. This is totally normal and actually very healthy. Like hibernation, dormancy is an important part of the growing cycle when plants are strengthening their root systems instead of focusing on creating new growth. They are still healthy, viable plants that will begin growing new leaves in spring with more light and warmer temperatures during the day and night. Fig Rust Figs do best in a mediterranean climate marked by hot, dry summers and low humidity. In humid or rainy areas, figs are subject to fig rust. While rarely fatal to the tree, and only indirectly affecting the fruit, the appearance of fig rust isn't desirable. You can also snip off the affected leaves if you want. Help avoid this problem with the new leaves by keeping the areas under the tree free of leaf debris and keeping the leaves from getting too wet when watering. Well.......it's really a twig......I just hope it will survive.....and I'm really curious what the other 2 twigs are.... .they can't be fig......leaf shape is totally different.....did y'all root gravy from another plant?????   a the I do I do with this?????
