First of all I want to mention that 7 days before Christmas Amazon jacked up their price for this set from $159 to I think $240. Wal-Mart did no such thing so they got my business.

Second about the set - it was delivered promptly and we're happy with it although at the end of the day even $159 is still a lot of money for some plastic (in my opinion).

The set has a lot of parts so it takes the better part of a day to put together but it does offer action in the front of the asylum and also in the back. This allows for two kids to play at the same time with different scenarios.

I own a lot of LEGO Superheroes set from both the DC and Marvel lines but this is by far the best one. It is a fully realized LEGO building with a lot of play features and a fantastic set of minifigures. Yes, it is expensive but you will be getting more than your money's worth.

Searched all over for this set and your price was by far the lowest of any online merchant that offered this Lego set by over a hundred dollars. It was a pure joy to see my Grandson's eyes when he saw what was in the package after tearing the wrappings off.

What a set for a kid's Christmas !

My son loves this set! He is nuts about Batman and Legos so this is the perfect set for him! He is only 9 and the recommended age is 12+ and he had no problem puting it together! The details are great from the security cameras and computer screens to the newspaper and individual cells for all the bad guys. He loves that it came with so many figures! We are just confused as why Mr. Freeze has a room but is not included in the set!

Great for Lego lovers!

My son loved putting it together - said it was pretty easy; had some difficulty finding some pieces when needed but that could be because he dumped pieces on his bed.

I think $159.99 is too expensive for this though. $100 - $120 max!

12 yr old loves Legos

It was sent quickly and my grandsons loved it. I think they put it together that same day. Love Legos.

Fun project

We purchased all new Batman lego series for my son and this was the last and most expensive one. Although the product is good and has lots of figures, but it is not as exclusive as it seems. The Batcave lego was better value than this.

Great product, but Batcave is better

Most of my review is premature since I just gave this as a gift to one of my grandsons. Both like Legos so I think it will work well. It helps to know your child's real ability and attention span since it does have over 1600 pieces. The grandson I just gave this to just turned 7, but he's already, after about 3 hours, half way finished...and having no problems. The box says for 12+ year olds.
Legos are a little overpriced, but a quality product. I have bought many, over 20, different things from airports to many buildings in the City area. All are super....and we have YET to have a missing part!!

Great way to keep kids busy

Was a day late but it was the holiday season. My son spent about 3 hours putting it together and loved every minute of it. He is 9.

Great for all lego lovers!

This item was purchased for my 9 year old's birthday. The item itself is great...it can also be found on eBay for the same price. But I chose this one from Walmart because it said it came with a $15 (e)gift card, which would obviously be the parents' choice over eBay. However, when the shipment came, no gift card was to be found. I checked and doublechecked my e-mail, in case it was to be an e-gift card...nope. Nothing. But the main objective was to make my 9 year old happy, so I succeeded in that. If you're in it for just the product, this is the one to buy.

Great Playset but title of item was misrepresented

This item was sent to me without any external packaging such as the brown carton box.

The set was damaged during delivery and shipping labels plastered all over the set.
If you are not a LEGO collector, I guess it is fine.

For LEGO collectors, please avoid and save yourself the grief to deal with the after-sales service to rectify the issue.

I used to receive Walmart items in brown carton. I guess they do not do it anymore.

Good product. Poor packaging.
