I used the gold leaf to paint my fireplace brick. I used a single coat of Killz 2 as a primer, than two coats of the Brilliant Metal. It went on smoothly with great coverage. One coat was a little too light, though still very "gold". The second coat made it perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this paint for a project for my Scouts. They were painting unprimed pine boards. In order to get full coverage it took 3 coats, just 1 coat was nice if you still want to see some of the wood grain. The paint was easy to apply. The brush clean up was a little harder because it was difficult to get all if the glittery bits out of the brush. I would recommend using a brush that you want to discard to avoid the hassle.

I have fairly eclectic taste and didn't just want to slap a flat color on it. After stumbling across this product, I knew it was meant to be! They had a few metallic options, but I opted for the pearlescent look and layered it over a lavender color. It's breathtaking! It applied smoothly, and I was so glad to find something to this effect that wasn't in a spray can because I have a terrible time applying spray paint evenly.

I used this paint for finishing some of the metal work on the hitch & the metal frame work of the camper . I also used it for painting the vent covers and pipes that were exposed . The product says brush on , but I applied it with a spray gun . It gives the surfaces a bright shiny metallic finish . Better than some of the other spray can finishes that I've used in the past .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My project turned out so great with this metallic finish, it was a grey dresser that now has a metal sheen to it. It took it to a whole other level. I'm thinking about adding it to my wooden letter project next, and so many others!!! It takes any project from normal painted, to high end sheen, I love it!

Indoor stairs update: I painted the risers with Brilliant Metallic Silver. Brush painted 1st coat; roller painted coats 2 & 3. Looks fabulous!

For some reason I thought it would have more color to it than it had...even though the description says it will add just shine and metallic luster to my projects. I actually am glad that it just puts a metallic sheen to my projects. I got the Pearlescent color and it is so pretty. It has a slight silver color to the paint. I was painting ceramics when I went to pick this up and was excited to try it on my project. It gave my piece a pearlescent look without changing the colors, it just toned them down a bit, which I kinda like. I don't want my projects to look like I just created them, I want them to look a little aged. That is what this did. Just make sure that you want this kind of finish, because it does look metallic and shiny. I tried to take a picture but it doesn't show up, but you put this paint in the right light and boy does it make your project beautiful!
