This playhouse is amazing for this price! it is rather large, perhaps 6 feet tall. My husband and myself assembled this in about 3.5 hours. We are keeping this indoors since we have a large play area. This is perfectly fine to keep outdoors as well. The majority of the structure is wood. It
 is very sturdy. Our boys were excited to have this playhouse.

Great deal on a nice playhouse.

This is such a well-made and adorable playhouse and despite all the other reviews saying that pieces were cracked I had no issues at all. The instructions were perfect and this 67-year-old grandma put it together without any help but it did take most of the weekend. I painted all the accent pieces pink and put it in my basement because we live in Colorado and I wanted my granddaughters to be able to play with it all year long.  I'm 5'4" and after stooping to get in the front door I can stand up all the way in the middle of the house.  Worth every penny.

Perfect playhouse

This kids playhouse kit is definitely a five start product, it wasn't perfect but close enough. First, all of the wood pieces and hardware were included and clearly marked, nothing was missing or damaged. The instructions were very good with the proper illustrations included. It is very well designed, most parts fit as they should with a few that had to have small alterations to fit correctly. I'm not sure how long it took to assemble because my son and I took our time over a few days and didn't rush it, I highly recommend using that method. We also put a floor foundation to build it on to make it more secure. The instructions advise to pre-drill all the holes, which we did. That prevents splitting boards and makes it much easier to screw in the hardware, the little extra time is worth it. It's perfectly designed for kids, my granddaughter loves it and will get years of fun playing in it.

Perfectly designed kids playhouse

Overall, great purchase. Got it on sale and it arrived with the box looking damaged but no broken pieces inside thankfully. It took my husband 5-6 hours to complete but he's not the most handy. We are keeping it inside but right now the cedar smell is very strong. It's quite dark inside the house so we may add a battery operated light.

Quality house for the price

this house is GORGEOUS! Took a long time to build but was well worth it. it's quality materials and even though I had one piece missing contacting kidkraft sent me a replacement piece right away. could not be happier with my decision.  im 5'1 and can stand up inside of it with no issue. my boyfriend  is 6'3" and is just taller than it. we keep ours inside so I can't speak for the weatherproofing .

it's like a real house but smaller !

House was very cute. A few parts were a bit damaged like split wood on the door but We were able to fix with wood filler and staples.  It took my husband and I three days to complete because we painted it first before assembling. Happy with our purchase.

When we received package the end was open. We are missing a piece. We have tried to go online and order it and we keep getting an error message. It is also asking for information we do not have. We are very frustrated.

Missing parts

My product arrived damaged. At least 5 different pieces including the roof which is a large piece has major damage with the finished wood chipped off. About 4 inches wide of damage is very disappointing.

Damaged pieces inside the box

The wood is cheap utility grade cedar. The finish is so thin it is see through. What you see on the picture is a professionally refinished version of the product. 

The shipment is not packaged in a way to protect the product properly. The door was not hung correctly so it had split the frame while in transit. This was on top of numerous other defects and cracks in the wood.

The packaging is so flimsy I had to deal with Walmart to arrange a freight pickup for return. Which their customer service is entirely unprepared to handle.

I would not wish this product on my worst enemy.

Cheap and Arrived Broken

THE MEASUREMENTS ARE FALSE ADVERTISING. If you think you're getting a 60”x50” product, you're wrong. The supposed 60” wall is only 49.25” and the supposed 50” wall is 43.75” on the OUTSIDE.  This is what I got back from KidKraft for reasoning:

“The dimensions listed for this product are the whole product dimensions, including the appendages such as flower boxes and shelf, and roof overhang. It does not include the bench as this is not a permanent fixture
 
The overall dimensions of this product are not the same as the interior dimensions of the playhouse only. The inside dimensions are are 47.5 in L x 41.75 in W x 42.5 in H (67.8 in H on the inside peak).”
