What a GREAT gift for kids! Santa brought for our 7 and 9 year olds and it's been party central ever since. Unit is small and lightweight, easy to store out of the way but also small enough to have out for continuous play. Incredibly easy to set up and use. Sound quality is great. We do not have any background hissing noise as described by others. Screen is nice and bright, easy to read. We haven't yet tested the recording feature but are excited to do so.

Great gift for kids

I bought this for my daughter's 10th birthday and she loved it. It is the 3rd one we have owned and by far the best. U can see the words on the screen or hook it up to the TV to see the words. Both microphones work very well. Great volume. Very loud but you can control each microphone and whole system volume as well. I would buy it again if I needed another one!!

great product

I was skeptical at first about the quality of the machine but it was delivered on time and as described.  The instructions for setup were clear and it worked beautifully with good sound quality.  It exceeded my expectations. Birthday girl loved it.

It should be noted that you will want to buy one or more karaoke CD discs separately with songs you know and enjoy.  The included CD works fine but unless you are into singing songs similar to She'll be Comin' Round the  Mountain  or Row, Row, Row Your Boat, you will not have the experience you are hoping for.  

All in all, it is a very nice machine and lots of fun-- good value.

Highlight of a birthday party

8yr old daughter is having a blast singing with her friends. Having the words display on-screen is great, as well as the two microphones. We still have lots of features to check out. When not playing, it does emit a high-pitch tone or hum, as others have also mentioned. It's annoying to me, but not a deal breaker. Kids don't seem to care.

Kids love it, nice machine except for the hum

I can't hear the singing through the speaker very well. The whole family enjoyed it. Haven't tried the recording just yet. Wish it came with a better karaoke disk even if it only came with 16 songs. The IPOD couldn't get it to work so well but plugged the IPAD and went on you tube got songs with lyrics and worked great. The size of the IPAD makes it easy to read.

Nice Karaoke machine for the price

Bought this for my Granddaughter's 8th birthday. We actually purchased 3 different Karaoke machines from Walmart and Best Buy because I couldn't find one that had great reviews and didn't have the time to get a different one before her birthday should there be a problem. This one was the more expensive of the three, but also came with 2 microphones whereas most only come with one. The other two had issues with screen "bouncing" so you couldn't read the words, and very lousy microphone reception. No issues with this one on the day we tested it, or the day she received it, entertaining 10 children from age 2 to 8. She loves it!

I received this from my children for father's day after reviewing multiple machines I decided to try this one. Immediately I was astounded at how light and cheap the machine looked. The sound is simply ok this machine is not very loud and the microphones have trouble picking up sound its either you can't be heard or its drowning the settings don't appear to help much. Overall I do enjoy this with my kids but I would leave it at that.

small time fun in home

The machine has good quality sound, 2 microphones and an ipod outlet, which is fantastic!  However, it comes with only 2 cd's; one is a cd of children songs, the other is Christmas songs.  We were very disappointed, because we wanted to rock out.  Had to purchase another CD with rock songs on it.

karaoke machine usa review

cd of 300 songs are ave maria and New years eve anthem...all which were uncool to my 10year old. You have to buy karaoke cd's. and the iPod will play songs but you can't get the words. Kinda just a iPod speaker really. Plus the microphone was broken so now I have the hassle of the return process. NO THANKS>

In the record mode the singers, using the microphone, voice would cut out ... this would only happen when replaying the recorded song. Though I am disappointed in this unit I shall return it but repurchase the same as it has all the features and size I'm looking for at the least cost.
