Bought this for 9 year old grandson.
He was able to put it together by himself and was very happy
when finished. An added pleasure when the roller coaster worked

Loads of fun

Definitely pretty accurate about the age suggestion. My 5yo nephew had no interest in putting this together. So I did it for him. Took me a total o approximately 4.5 hours. But he loved it after it was complete. I had fun building it, but am definitely looking forward to when he's older and had the patience and attention span to want to himself.

Age Specific

It took almost a day to assemble (adult supervision and help required!)... But once done it works beautifully! A very good educative toy that illustrates how real life coasters work. It requires careful reading of the instructions and delicate use of hands, but worth the wait and effort...

Great roller coaster toy!

Good price and a fun project for my 9 year old brother. He was stuck on this for a full 24 hours. his face was pure joy after completing it and watching it work . Built his confidence.

Cool project

My 8 year-old duaghter loves this! It's not pink and she can use her mind. Instructions are easy to use and intuitive. A bit of a finger challange to connect the ends (my fingers hurt, she was just fine) Overall an awesome buy.

Easy to assemble by a 7 year old, provided you are willing to use a little super glue. Works great, and cost only $19.99. Great value for a lot of fun!

Fun and excellent price

Great item dose take some time, but learning how to build things instead of video games all day long is a plus

Roller coastering

I feel that this was worth the money paid for it! I will say that snapping some of the pieces together will leave your fingers a little sore afterwards! ;) I was a little skeptical at first as to if the coaster would glide and move as it should and to my surprise it worked great! I do wish that I had realized that most all of these are the smaller K'nex pieces and not larger like the older ones. MY 7 year old son loves this and is able to look at the instructions to do any fixes that he may need to do along the way. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the smaller pieces seem to be a little bit cheap compared to the larger ones. Don't get me wrong this is a great item! I do recommend this for children as it teaches them to follow directions to put it together and also how a roller coaster works! Lets not forget the time it takes also keeps them busy doing something! ;)

Overall great buy!

This was time consuming to put together for adults. It is a very fun toy and my 6 year old loves it. However, it would have been nice if all the pieces had come with it. It was missing 2 vital pieces.
