Got this kit along with the other Just My Style Beading kit. For my 5 year old daughter who is showing an interesting in jewelry making.

Excellent Christmas Present

So many beads, my daughter has made so many projects, and there are still so many left. All of her friends that come over want to make bracelets with her. She is 5, and it's great for motor skills.

Also it was really hard to open the package. Don't buy this unless you plan on using all the beads right away or have a plastic organizer to put them in after opening. The string isn't that great it frays and you don't get much for as many beads you are getting. Other than that the beads work for my five year old.

Theres a lot of beads not alot of thread

I thought this would bring my daughter joy by getting this for her but it has just been a beadful of frustration.  The majority of the beads are super small and the actual material used to string through the beads is beyond horrible.   They didn't even provide a cheap plastic cover for the 11,000 beads for storage.   It's best to just visit a store and buy everything separately, so you can actually see what you are getting for your money.

Tedious

Oh my goodness, this is one of the worst things we have ever bought. Of the 11,000 beads, at least 10,500 are unusable because the stupid holes are way to small to thread the dumb string thru. Only the really big beads work right. The only way I could get the rest of them on was to poke the string thru the hole with the large end of a sewing needle, something a younger child simply wouldn't be able to do. Took an hour for me to get a dozen beads done. I tried drilling them out, but that just takes too long and is too difficult to get the hole big enough, and the beads broke to pieces in a vice grip. Our almost 6 year old daughter thru FIT when we told her these are going back, she acted like she was two. Altogether a most unpleasant experience. Yuck!
