Eliminates Frizz and shines like a salon

Customer review by An anonymous customer

5.0 stars by An anonymous customer

I have thick, frizzy, wavy, coarse hair so before I purchased this I was blow drying my hair and using a straightener. Using the straightener was damaging my hair and it was never silky and shiny. I purchased John Frieda hot hair bush and it eliminated the frizz and left my hair silky and smooth all day. I dried my hair about 90% and then used this hot brush to style and dry my damp hair. This brush was excellent because it actually grabbed my hair to be able to roll it and style it. I had purchased Conair Infinity rotating hot air brush and was very disappointed because the bristles were so soft that is just went over hair and did not grab my hair to brush it. The Conair rotating hot air brush was terrible and did not reduce frizz or leave my hair silky and shiny. This product is worth the $30 and every day you can have the salon silky and smooth hair. It does not take an additional time for me to style my hair with this and I no longer need the straightener.

Fantastic! Easy for blow dry challenged folks

This exceeded my expectations. The results were just like a blow out from a salon professional. Gives volume and shine. Excellent for the price at Walmart. Doesn't hurt your hand like using a brush and a blow dryer. If you lack patience and are blow out challenged, this will be a great purchase.

I have very dry frizzy hair and for years have had to use a flat iron after drying to remove most of the frizz. My stylist recommended using a good hair dryer and omitting the flat iron. I purchased a very expensive dryer and used it with a good round brush but still did not acheive the smoothness that my stylist gives me. I returned my expensive hair dryer and after reading the reviews of the John Frieda hot air brush I purchased one yesterday and tried it this morning. This is the smoothest my hair has ever turned out at home.

    • I semi-dry my hair first with my blow dryer. I think it would take too long to style with wet hair. The brush is very gentle, not too hot.

    • I recommend drying your self. I tried on damp hair and it took a much longer to dry. I think it is less damaging to dry prior to using this product to straighten and shape.

    • Your hair should be about 80-90 percent dry to use this. You can either blow dry or air dry first. If you go to John Frieda hot air brush online it will show you a pop up of a blonde woman doing a tutorial on how to use it.

    • Leanne, I usually dry my hair to about half dry then use the air brush. If it is already dry I simply spritz it with water to dampen and the. Use it. It is a great product.

    • Yes you can dry and style together, but it takes less time if you use a dryer first to make your hair a little dryer. I flip my head down and run my dryer a few minutes and then clip my hair in sections and use this brush. If hair gets too dry, you can always use a spray of water and use this brush.

    • I let mey hair most of the time airdry. After that I use the brush. When I refresh, I put keratin soft in my hair and then use the brush

    • Probably depends on how long and/or thick your hair is. Mine is medium length and I use the hot air brush to both dry and shape.

    • Dries & styles at the same time, but let hair dry about 90% before using.

    • I've used a few hot air brushes and love the John Frieda for my fine hair. But, I dry my hair with a blowdryer to about 80-90 percent dry, and then use the hot air brush for styling purposes. They really aren't great for replacing a blowdryer, takes too long to dry your hair. Hope this helps. :)

    • My hair is fine, but about jaw length and it works fine for me. If you want to try it out, I would get the smallest brush you can. Mine is the large brush.

    • I towel dried first to get most of the access water out of the hair. I then comb it out to detangle it. But yes it does dry while running the brush through it.

    • I think it will do a good job shaping and getting the Frizz out. But, if you are looking for fullness, I don't think you can get it with this. I have soft, thin, wavy, with some frizz hair. This product straightens and shapes, but I don't see much fullness. I use regular blow dryer and round brush to get fullness for special occasion and I use this product for during the week.

    • I have short fine frizzy hair and it works fine. Some people with longer hair have said in other reviews that their hair tends to get tangled in it but, it is probably because they are not doing it right. The brush is big but I don't have a problem with it. If you go on the internet and key in John Frieda hot air brush a pop up will appear where you can see a blond women doing a tutorial on it showing you how she uses the brush.

    • Depending on how short your hair is, the brush is a wide-circumference; so, if your hair is boy-cut, I'm not sure it would work.

    • I don't think it would, but if it's atleast shoulder length, it probably would. The brush itself is about 2 inches (or more) around. If you have super short hair, I do not recommend. As for Fine hair, it should work.

    • I have fine hair and short, and love this hair tool! Its easy to use, soft brissels and smoothes out the frizz. good luck, worth a try because you can return, but I would try it. I am so glad I did!
