No, you can't purchase extra airbrush pens on this

The paint on the hot wheels features water-based ink, designs are easily washed off the car so kids can start over again for limitless possibilities.

Once they airbrush the car the toy comes with, are they able to remove the paint and make a new design?

It took sometime to prime the sprayer but eventually it DID work. Unfortunately by the time the first paint was sprayed down the excitement had deminished. It's been almost 2 weeks and my son who is 6 hasn't gone back to it. :( Hopefully when he does try it again he will get the results he's looking for without the assistance nessasary the first time. It's hard to just watch when you want to play!!!
If I could do it again, I would take it out of the box and get it ready to go before gifting it. :)

It works...

I would recommend this to a friend IF it were on sale.. I would think that the product wouldn't be made so poorly. It doesn't blow the ink out very much at all and clumps at the end. I even changed battery types thinking it was the batteries I was using, but it didn't improve. My son really liked this, but wishes it came with more than one car.

My grandson got 2 of these. Opened one and was real disappointed. Was hard to operate, messy, and he said the sprayer would not work. They followed directions carefully but just not working right. He was disappointed. We returned the other one.

not so great

Just so everyone knows, I paid $20 about a week ago for this. I saw it previously listed for $14. Now, it's selling for $37. And, when it arrived, the paint was all dried out. So, It doesn't even work. Don't even take the chance. Cool idea, but find something else.

Don't waste your money

My son loves hot wheels and was amazed by this when he saw the commercials on tv. He received one from "Santa" and it was a TOTAL disappointment. Only comes with ONE car, not that it mattered because the "airbrush" didn't work AT ALL. The only thing that came out was a little bit of colored foam. I am returning this product. Getting really tired of toy companies advertising their products and then when you actually purchase the product it works NOTHING like you see on tv!!

Piece of Junk

This toy does not perform at all. It uses markers as the paint source. We took it back the next day.

Not even a good item

its a cute idea but it only comes with 1 car and they do not sale the cars.

not worth it

My son got this as a gift. I don't know if I did something wrong, but I couldn't get any of the markers to do anything but foam up. You can at least marker over and over on the one van that comes with it. It is a huge disappointment.
