If you set the carpet height adjustment too close, it becomes very hard to maneuver. However, at the proper height it is no more difficult than any other vacuum we have ever owned.

The High Performance has an easy glide to it's maneuverability. If you have thicker pile carpeting then it would be best to set the height adjustment dial to a higher setting.

I find it very difficult to push. It is a heavy machine for being mostly plastic on the outside. If you put the setting close enough to the carpet to clean properly it makes it even harder to push. It does have a lot of vacuum power but I would much rather have a lighter weight, easier to push machine.
It also puts out a lot of heat.

I had a 10 year old bagged Hoover that I considered very heavy and very difficult to maneuver and my back hurt every time I used the old one. This bagless Hoover seems much easier to push and pull and maneuver in general than my old one. One important key is to use the correct height adjustment for carpet pile.

I have OCD for cleaning and it does AMAZING on our hard wood and tile!

Hi Lori! The Hoover High Performance, well the name says it all! It will work wonderfully on your tile/hardwood floors. Before bare floor use, make sure the brushes are not running by stepping on the brush roll shut off pedal and lower the height adjustment to a setting that is most convenient to you. Hope this helps!
