Set of 4 = You get four of these, a set of four lids and four boxes.

Usually if a product says it's a set of 4 they're implying that the quantity within the set is 4...or possibly more if you're lucky.

The set of 4 is for the 27 gallon tote and the set of 6 is for the 15 gallon tote.

That you will get a total of 4 totes & 4 lids or 6 totes & 6 lids.

What does it mean set of (4) or set of (6)?

YES, BUT YOU CAN'T FILL THEM WITH LIQUID.

The lid overlaps the rim like Tupperware but doesn't seal like it. It was enough to keep the water out when it was in the back of my truck in the rain but I would bet you couldn't submerge it.

Yes. That is, only until the lid to bottom seam is submerged. I would not recommend gluing or caulking the lid to the bottom.

We have not heard from anyone using these for luggage.

Yes. We have used them for transporting humanitarian items internationally. Ziptie the lid on... not too tight so they can cut it off if they want. Tape extra zipties to the inside of the lid so they can tie the lid on again, or to bring them back. You can also nest empty ones to bring back empty tubs.

I used about 6 of these to store all my military gear in the garage. Very sturdy at a great price. Stackable which is awesome in the garage.

I bought my first Homz storage containers after I discovered several of my expensive Middleton dolls were damaged when the Rubbermaid container they were in had collapsed in on them. I needed a container that could keep my treasures safe and I could stop worrying about my valuables. I bought my first Homz when they were available in store and I took one home and stood on it. I am not a small woman and there was not a problem with the container carrying my weight. Wal-Mart please put these back in the store.

If you have stacked and stored? You know what weaker products end up looking like! These are strong and durable! They are the only ones I will store and stack with!

Bought eight last year and liked them so much I bought enough to organize the whole garage. love the way they stack. and the nearly straight sides make for more user friendly storage bins.

I'm happy with my purchase of the Homz 27 Gallon Tough Totes. I use them as Solar Batteries for my Greenhouse. I've filled them with water and stacked them. They fit nicely under my greenhouses work table and I get extra warmth during springtime nights for my garden plants.

Finally! a storage container that does not collapse when stacking multiple containers on each other. I have had many of those cheap plastic containers fail due to heat and cold temp changes in the attic. I have officially replaced all my storage items with these containers...happy days

Great storage container

The set of 4 Homz plastic containers have changed my life! Most of my garage items fit easily into these containers and helped cut down on the clutter. I've used them to transport items on a cargo trailer during a cross country move. You can also wash small farm animals in them or make enough beef stew to feed an entire troop of girl scouts. If I was flying to the moon, I would pack my gear into these containers.

It's everything I want in a plastic container

I wasn't expecting bullet-proof or anything, but the lids are just a little too flimsy for me & there's no reinforced handles on the front & back to carry these through a doorway while possibly being overloaded. Yes, of course you can still carry them thin-wise, I just kind of expected 4 handles & not just 2. Other than that, the lids can be used upside-down to gain a couples inches of storage, that what the raised rim is for around the tops recess. I'd actually prefer no recess & that the lid be raised or flat with a few or bunch of bumps to interlock other totes stacked atop. But, all in all these are still very much better than Rubbermaid & other thin soft plastic failed ideas. These keep their shape & really don't weigh anymore.
