This is really a great addition to our kitchen. It arrived quickly, wasnt too difficult to assemble, and truly looks nice ;)

Exactly what we needed

I have a 100 year old home with limited counter space in the kitchen.  I needed more counter space without taking up too much floor space in a small kitchen.  I was also putting in granite counter tops and I wanted an island that was mobile but sturdy enough to support the granite.  Because I was able to assemble it myself, I simply did not put on the top that came with the island and had the matching granite piece installed on it instead.  It looks beautiful!!!!

The Perfect Kitchen Island

What I really needed after my complete kitchen remodel was a place to store all my cookbooks and a few 'as needed' spices. I didn't want a butcher block top (would eventually become very hard to keep clean)so I knew I needed something non-porous that looked great...black granite. This kitchen cart was a great price and the construction is very durable. I looked all over for kitchen carts (and I mean everywhere). After almost two months of searching, I looked and looked again at this one and it really was perfect. I love that I can roll right to my oven and chop and cook at the same time or I can roll it right out onto the deck for my husband to prep off of. Perfect for kids too; my daughter loves helping me in the kitchen and this gives her, her own space to work and not be in my way. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Great piece for any kitchen!

I did not pay the extra shipping over $3.00 and it arrived in less than 5 days. I am glad I didn't paid the extra $50.

Putting it together took some time but was not too difficult. Some of the screws didn't match up perfectly with the holes so having a power drill would be handy. There was also one area that holds the shelf that I needed to chip out some wood that should not have been there. It was causing the shelf not to fit properly.

Overall I love it and I'm glad I didn't buy a less expensive cart.

Looks great and completes my beverage station

I was reluctant to make a purchase online without seeing it firsthand, but was eased once I realized I could return it at my local store. I purchased this particular cabinet because it matched my stainless and black appliances. I was not disappointed. I found this same cabinet on a competitor's website but bought it from Walmart because it was cheaper and offered free shipping. I was in no rush for the cabinet and expected the item in 2 weeks, but it actually arrived 2 DAYS after I placed my order!

I'd actually give this 4.5 stars. The directions were fairly clear, all parts were provided, and really well-marked in separate bags. I liked the ability to choose my own top (I picked a black cabinet). Granite top is nice, though there seems to be a discrepancy in the description. Somewhere I read a more detailed description that called it ""salmon and black speckled"". I know the main description calls it ""salt and pepper"" and that is in fact what it looks like, on a beige background. I was hoping for more of a salmon tone but it's okay.  It was actually pretty easy to put together (and I'm an older female!). But the one thing I would say is that while all the other pieces had arrows to indicate front/back or top/bottom positioning, the granite top did not indicate in any way which edge should be the front and which is the back. I debated back and forth, turning it around a few times. I was hesitant to have too much of an overhang at the front, not knowing how it would impact using the drawer. In the end when it was completely put together, I decided I'd made a mistake and I now want to turn the top around. It's not that hard since all you have to do is remove the drawer and you have easy access to the bolts.   Doors were super easy to install as the hinges are already in place -- you just drop them in, piece of cake! Though I must say the alignment of the doors is just a hair off... must be the screw holes, just a millimeter off, so that one door is a fraction lower than the other. But you have to be looking REALLY closely to even notice it. Oh one other thing: the two front casters are supposed to be locking. But even though I flip the lever on both to the locked side, the cart still seems to move -- not as easily as when they are unlocked, but I was expecting the cart not to move at all when locked.  All in all, I was pleased with the ease of ordering, speedy delivery, and a well-packaged product.

A decent cart

After assembling the island we were very satisfied with the look and quality. The drawer was the only assembly that needed tweaking. The starter holes for connecting the sides were off a bit and made the drawer hit the top. I drilled new starter holes to make the sides square with the front and back of the drawer.  The drawer assembly would work better with dowels.

Great Rolling Kitchen Island

I was looking for a small, sturdy cart to place our new espresso machine and grinder on. I wanted to place a piece of furniture in a small corner of my dining room, but it couldn't be wider that 30 inches. This fit the bill. I did not install the larger side rack, because that would have put the cart over 30"", but I did install the metal towel holder. This made the cart 28"" wide. The counter top is 27"", so that's the minimum width, if you do not attach any of the side pieces, you're looking at a width of 27"". It has casters which lock, and I put them on to add height (it makes the cart 35"" tall with casters, and without casters, you're looking at 32"" tall). Some of the reviews freaked me out about assembly. Many mentioned holes not aligned and the need to drill. I'm moderately handy, so I had my tool box, drill and patience ready, but all that was needed was a Philips head screwdriver and an allen wrench (included, but I have my own). I did not find the need to drill any new holes. Everything lined up nicely (I confirmed with my level) and I was able to install it by myself, leisurely, in an hour and a half. I'm sure if I was in a rush, I could have put it together faster. I like that the hardware is clearly labeled in little bags and they include an extra of each screw, bolt, etc. in case you lose one-you don't see that often. The drawer is very shallow, which is fine for our needs. It would probably fit a 2-3"" tall utensil tray, but we are just storing the espresso accessories and manual. The cabinet space is perfect to fit the bottles of water and several half gallon ball jars of coffee beans. Overall, I was happy with this purchase for my needs-it fits the machine, grinder with counter space to spare, its aesthetically pleasing in my dining room, and I don't think I cursed once while putting it together...and that says a lot, trust me!

Fit my needs

I must say the quality of the material for this kitchen cart seems a step above others that I have seen in stores. The finished product looks just like the picture and it serves its purpose well. The parts were marked well and all pieces were there. Construction went smoothly until the last step which was the drawer construction. It would not roll onto the tracks and into place and I spent several hours trying to get it to work properly...I never did succeed. It came down to two options; put drawer in place to look aesthetically pleasing but totally nonfunctional, or , take whole cart outside and smash onto sidewalk in a fit of rage. Hey, at least the cabinet doors work!

Drawer was a killer

Instructions were poor. All of the parts were correctly sized and fit together, but the instructions made it a time-consuming task. The handles shipped with the cart were not the handles shown in the pictures - this required me to get a second set of handles to match my kitchen.
