Survivors Men's Plower Steel Toe Boot

This boot checks all of the boxes:

Comfortable, Waterproof, Slip resistant, Steel toe (meets OSHA requirements for job site and warehouse work).

Good Boot, not as "Clunky" as some steel toed boots that I have had. The stitching looks good and seems well made and durable.

Also, the insole is removable.

The only negative is that the stitching around the top will scratch you if you don't wear tall socks--but, who wears work boots without tall socks...?

Steel Toe Boots

This is an excellent set of work boots. The craftsmanship on these boots is top notch. You can really tell the attention to detail put into these boots. Quality leather and steel toe will make these boots last a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of work boots. 

They may run on the slightly larger size as typically I wear a size 12 but ordered 11 and they fit fine. They're not tight in the toes, just slipping them on is a bit tight.

Fantastic Boot

I really like these boots. It's hard to find nice boots these days.
These shoes are made of nice leather. The leather looks really good, the stitching looks good, and they seem very tough. 
I like the look of them, they are simple brown leather. They should hold up nice to some heavy use, and would be easy to clean. 
When I first got the shoes, I noticed that they make a lot of noise when you walk, the sound of the leather flexing as you walk. After I wore them for about a week, they got a lot quieter. I guess I just needed to break them in. 
They are tap slip on boots, so you can tuck them into your pant legs so nothing can get inside, and they don't slip of your feet. They stay on really good. You can't slip them on and off easily. 
They are steel toe, so they are kind of heavy on your feed, but you get used to it. Most steel tie boots are this way.

great boots!

These Boots are excellent! They fell very well made and the material feels like it would last a while. I like all of the features of these boots (steel toe, water proof, very comfortable soles, and excellent grip and non slip). I wear a size 10 however, depending on the footwear manufacture it varies from 9 to 10. That is my only complaint, I requested a size 10 and its about half an inch to big for my foot to wear. I guess I cant blame the boot for that since every manufacture seems to have their own definition of what a foot size is. If you are considering these i suggest trying them on in person at the store or get a size down from what you normally wear. Other than that there great!

EXCEPTIONAL BOOTS!

This is my first pair of Herman Survivors and I am impressed so far. In some shoes I need a wide width so I was worried these would not fit. Luckily this pair of boots fit me great, like they were custom made for my foot. I have owned steel toe boots in the past that I hated because they were so heavy and my toes always felt cramped. With these I cannot even tell they are steel toe boots. I had to press on the toes and make sure because they are so light and comfortable. There is actually cushion when you walk and stand, unlike other boots I have purchased in the past. These feel almost as comfortable as my sneakers. I also like that I have plenty of room at the top of the boot for my big legs. I enjoy not needing to lace them, and the boot height is perfect. They are easy to get on and off of my foot. In fact, I have decided to keep these by the front door so I can quickly jump in them when I need to run errands outside of the house. They will also provide more protection than my sneakers in the event I step on a snake or sharp object. I also appreciate that they are waterproof. I have tested them in the rain and my feet have stayed dry. I may still add a little wax on them come winter just to be safe? The soles seem to have good traction walking up hills, and in the mud. I also noticed fresh grass clippings do not stick as bad to the bottoms like a lot of boots and shoes do. Maybe that is because of the slip and oil resistant rubber soles? The only negative I could find is the leather toes scuff kind of easily if you are buying them for fashion reasons, so you will need some brown shoe polish to keep them looking new. Overall, these are wonderful boots that have pleasantly surprised me. I will be buying more of this brand in the future and can recommend you buy these.

Pleasantly Surprised!

A great pair of motorcycle boots that don't break the bank. The vamp and the instep are not so tight to prevent smooth shifting. They seemed a little tight at first when pulling them on for the first time. But after using them for a day. They next time they fit like a glove("imagine that" new boots tight)..Side note to Herman's if they monitor the comments. If you made a boot just like this. That could be polished like a Military pair of Cochran boots in black. I would not only buy a pair. I would help you sell them through word of mouth..

These boots were made for walking (and riding)

I really do like these boots they keep my feet very dry and I work in the water sometimes so so far so good I do have to say I did have to have them stretched out just a little bit to get my foot into him other than that they were a perfect fit thank you so much for stopping by and reading my review

These Boots are really nice

I never wear cheap shoes or boots. I am Very picky when it comes to my footwear and I have to say, I'm actually pretty impressed with these boots. I bought them and only planned on wearing them on our camping trip because the weather called for lots of rain. Once I wore them the first day I knew they were much better quality than I expected. They feel very well made. Pretty light weight for a steel toe boot and they look great. I've worn them every day for about a week and they still look nice and new and the best part is that the steel toe does not rub your foot and make them uncomfortable to wear.

Pretty impressive

I love these boots! I know that they are men's boots but I got the number size under my actual size in women's because men's size tends to run one size bigger. These are perfect for me because they are not bulky or heavy even though they are steel toe. I am very excited to have these for doing certain things even riding the four wheeler! They are very good quality and value! They are made great and easy to clean up! They look great on a man or woman! I recommend these to anyone and everyone. They are light and not heavy and still protect your feet!

Perfect for men or women!

This review is for Herman Survivor Plower Steel Toe Boots.

Size/Fit - I'd definitely like to start by saying you should order a full size smaller than you normally wear. I wear size 11 in sneakers, but I had to order Herman Survivor size 10. Also, while perfect for me because I'm essentially flat footed, anyone looking for a lot arch support will need an insert.

Comfort/Performance - While I'm sure these will eventually break-in like any other boots, they're rather comfortable straight out of the box. My only real complaint is that I wished the top part of the boot wasn't fluted, it's entirely unnecessary to make the opening bigger.

Overall - If you're flat footed and looking for laceless workboots these are definitely worth considering.

My old man chose out there boots the first 4/5 days of having them all was good no complaints bout the 6th day he started mentioning how bad his feet were hurting on the 7th day he would take them off and his feet would be in just really bad shape.. Save your money and get a different pair of boots these arent worth the money.. old man had to switch back to the other pair even though they arent water proof they dont hurt his feet at all
