Hubby only buys these steel toe work boots BUT THE ANKLE AREA can be really snug and when the lining tears up as ALL WORK BOOTS DO from wear %26 tear, they always tear in the ankle area your foot has to go through to get all way into the boot. In saying this, I will still recommend these steel toe work boots. They do last a long time!

Safe work boot

I am just going to order a second pair.  I bought a pair about 6 years ago at Walmart.
I wore them for the first two or three years mostly in the winter.  I didn't wear them to work outside mowing, or cutting trees because they are a good looking boot, and I could wear them anywhere else we went. 
However, about two years ago my old outside working boots gave out.  So, since my good looking Herman Survivors had a few scratches and nicks on them,  I started wearing them outside for everything.  It didn't take long until they aren't too good looking anymore.
These have been THE BEST BOOTS I HAVE EVER HAD in my 76 years.  They are as comfortable today as they were when they were new.  I have never gotten cold feet, or wet feet, no matter how much snow and ice, mud I walk through.  I have a chicken coup that needs attending to a couple of times a day, and even when it isn't wet from rain, there is other stuff to walk through.  So before I go into the house I use the hose outside to wash off whatever is stuck in the soles and on the boots.  
And believe it, or not, the soles are not anywhere near being worn out.
I will use this next pair to wear anywhere else, except to work outside, until my old pair wear out.

Herman survivors steel toe boots

I have worn these in rain sleet and snow and they have help up great and the sole lasted just about a year with everyday use.

Great lasting boot for hard work use.

My husband had a 10,000 pound piece of steel fall onto his foot and he left the hospital with only a tip of his big toe broken. The boots saved his foot and toes because it could have been so much worse! Thank you!

Great boots for work I do construction in the mud and dirt all day 
These boots will hold up for about seven or eight months before they get rips or holes (begin to fall apart) but still they’re usable 
they’re completely water proof all the way up when new I wish they made these boots without the steels in them because they’re really heavy

You BETTER Open the box %26 make sure that THE BOOTS ARE NEW.. MINE WAS COVERED IN MUD %26 I paid full price %26 I will never ever buy these from there again because They Clearly have been worn out in a lot of mud %26 Walmart sold them after someone returned them because they are covered in mud! Mud was embedded into the leather %26 the complete Sole was PLUM FULL OF MUD!! Pics is after beating mud off them %26 trying to take a rag to clean them because it fell off in my living room when I took them out of the box!! Worst buy ever from Walmart!  Would rate -10 if I could

Old USED BOOTS  Sold For A NEW BOOT PRICE…

Bought an 8 was running to big switched them to a 7.5 and they are they still very very wobbly can't walk properly and work requires lots of walking….
