This Hefty 13.5 Gallon Swing Lid Trash Can is 13.5 gallons. A 30 gallon trash bag would be too large.

Sorry to disappoint, but this is considerably smaller than what you&#39;re currently using. This is a 13-gallon- indoor/kitchen model. You must be thinking of a much larger can designed for outdoor use.

Yes a30 gallon will fit, will be top big and hang over the sides. But a 13 gallon will be too small. It&#39;s too bad, this is sick a nice can.

I haven't had any odor problems with mine.

98% of the time. When it begins to get full, I can smell the trash. Thats when I have to take it out.

From my experience, I have placed inside it some strong odors items and only could trash them out the following day; and i can tell you that the bin has contained the odor for almost 36 hours

Yes, this one comes in black too. I don't know about any other color but I know it comes in red and black.

Best black trash can I have ever owned. Fits all the trash bags I buy for it, has a high gloss sheen... a little sticker which even says Hefty on it. (I left that there so people know I ain't buying no cheap stuff).

Lid flips just as advertised and actually has a grip in it so you can easily lift the entire lid off to scrap the meal your wife made off into the can.

It only faces one way so there is no tossing trash from behind... and I doubt a paper-wad would cause the lid to dip... Maybe after some use.
