Thank you for your question. Ready Light will change from blue to green when coffee is perked and will automatically go into a keep-warm mode. We ask that you allow 2 minutes for unit to heat and 1 minute per cup of coffee being brewed.

Light changes to neon green when finished brewing. Pot brews 1 cup per minute, ie, 12 cups, 12 minutes.

The blue light turns to green when brew is completed. Have never timed the brew, but much quicker than my stove-top percolator.

I was extremely satisfied with the purchase of the Hamilton Beach Percolator. The consistency and the taste of the coffee is superior to any drip machine. In addition, the coffee comes out piping hot and I don't have to worry about it getting cold. It is highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a quality cup of coffee!

Excellent Percolator For A Coffee Lover

We've only used our HB percolator for 3 weeks but are pleased so far. Its contemporary look is
sleek and the coffee is superb. My husband likes the way it pours, clean with no drips. The coffee stays hot for some time unlike many coffee makers we have owned. Since Wal-Mart has such a reasonable price, we opted for the 2-year warranty upgrade.

We've only used our HB percolator for 3 weeks but

I haven't purchased one of these in years and read all of the reviews by people so I took a chance on this particular model/brand. I will tell you it does make the best coffee just like my old percolator, so I am so satisfied. Told my family to get themselves one. This one has no metal taste, it's easy to clean, and I like the green light when it's finished.

Definitely Would purchase again

Last spring we purchased a stove-top percolator to use in our RV. Using a drip pot for many years we missed the aroma and richness of perked coffee that we remembered from camping days. The stove-top pot was all we had hoped, but then we wanted the convenience of an electric version.

After reading reviews for many pots we chose the Hamilton Beach for performance, price and style. We have not been disappointed. It performs as we had hoped with two bonus features we had not expected- it's much faster than the stove-top percolator and it does a great job of keeping the coffee hot, not just with the warming feature that kicks in after it brews, but even if we pull the plug. Yes, we end up with some grounds in the bottom of the cup. Using a paper filter in the cup helps with that.

Stylish choice that works

Ok, so I've only owned it one day...but I researched percolators after the carafe cracked AGAIN on my BUNN machine.  I've always liked how fast BUNN machines make a pot...but I also just took mine apart to get the water out and GROSS...that isn't sanitary!!!  So, after looking up many online, my local store had this one in stock.  I've only made 2 pots of coffee now, but it was flawless, and hands down smoothest best tasting coffee I've had in years.  This coffee is BETTER than what you get at a coffee place.  I just used my stand by favorite canned coffee (Chock full of Nuts brand) and the directions do say to "wet" the filter basket to prevent sediment.  We didn't even do that and there were no grounds out in the coffee.  I like that you don't need to burn your hand prying the guts out to avoid the grounds, the spout is positioned below the grounds, so you won't get a mess in your cup.  I did buy the replacement plan for $4 since websites mentioned percolators as a whole wearing out early.  It was worth it to know I'd get a replacement if anything happens.  Honestly, most drip machines only last 2 years anyway, even the pricier grind and brew with high end names only give you 3-4 years.

Best coffee ever

Makes great tasting coffee. It says to use coarse ground so be prepared to also buy a grinder for coffee beans.  Makes really hot coffee
