It's sleek and attractive, sturdy, and works like a dream! It cuts the lids off so neatly! And absolutely no sharp edges, which really impressed me. I read the other reviews before I bought it, and I am totally satisfied with this can opener. It's simple enought that my 5 year old grandson can operate it, and since no sharp edges, it's safe, too. It's fantastic and matches my kitchen perfectly. My first time using it the cut was so smooth I didn't realize that the lid was open. I thought something was wrong with the opener and tried it again. Although I love the way in which it cuts open cans (no sharp edges) my only complaint is that mine appears to have to travel around the can two full times before it actually cuts all the way through the lid. Not sure if that is the way its supposed to work or a design defect. My husband already threw the box/book away so I can't check it, but my mother has the exact same can opener and I plan to check hers out to compare them. Other than that it works fine and looks good (for a can opener). 07/18/2012
