Yes, the bowl rotates while mixing and can be slide fron side to side..

The bowl doesn't rotate by its self you have to turn the bowl while the beaters move.

The bowl does not rotate. However there's a slider at the bottom you can use to move or adjust the bowl on the left to right.

initially, the bowl did not rotate. Found that it started rotating when flour was added. The mixer lifts up or comes off for bowl removal

The mixer is on a turn table that you to manually spin the bowl. It also has a lever on the front of the base that allows you to slide the bowl from left to right so that the beaters go from the center of the bowl to the edge of the bowl - you don't miss anything that way. The mixer does have a button on the site that allows you to press in, then lift the mixer out of the bowl.

I am not sure if it is suppose to turn on its own but sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. However it is easy to spin the bowl with your hand

somewhat the dough beaters are kinda small for a big job

I tried making my homemade bread and used the dough hooks that it came with and it did not work very well. It started mixing the dough but when the dough started thickening, the hooks didn't work anymore. I had to shut off the mixer for concern it would burn out the motor. I would not use this mixer for thick dough. I will kneed it by hand from now on.

I don't think it would be good for bread because a lot of bread batters are thick. Even if it worked on thick batters to begin with, it will wear out the motor(burn it up). I have had a lot of cheap mixers and burned up a few before I realized what I was doing. You need a heavy duty mixer for bread dough. This is not a heavy duty mixer.

I suggest you save up for a better stand mixer. The exterior is all plastic. The release button for lifting the mixer to an upright position does not line up good & feels like it will crack or break with little use.
Save up for a "Kitchenaid". they are a bit pricey but, will last. You can not go wrong

Although I've never made bread, I used the mixer for buttercream icing and chocolate chip cookie dough. It handles both with ease. I never used the dough hooks though.

Absolutely NOT....mine burned up first time I used it for bread.

It is okay for making bread, however, when the dough started to get thick and heavy, I had to gently hold the mixer down and at the same time spin the bowl. The dough was well kneaded and was very elastic. I am undecided if I should return the mixer. A bit disappointed with the quality but you get what you pay for.
