The first thing I noticed was how heavy this microwave oven was. It is just solidly built. The microwave itself is white with a stainless front., and is LED Display. The kitchen clock timer is awesome too. You get a 1000 watts and it is 1.1 cubic ft. in cooking area. It is a really nice looking unit. There are a total of ten power levels. It has a thirty second one touch feature which is nice. There are six quick menu set buttons for the things we use most. If you have small children the child safe lockout feature is really cool. This unit has a weight and timer defrost setting which my previous microwave did not have, but it is a great feature. The unit comes with a one year warranty, but It is made by Hamilton Beach, a well known respected company, and having had many of their products I am sure it will last a very long time. With that being said I have used it to heat several items and it worked great. I also tried the weight and time defrost feature on some frozen chicken breast and frozen ground beef. I was amazed at how well it worked. Now, the true test for me was doing popcorn. I was a 100% satisfied and happy with how it came out. This microwave is a five star product.

Many Awesome Features

So I was excited to replace my little microwave that was handed down to me with this Beautiful larger microwave. Although it is bigger than my old one it's the perfect size so now I'm able to fit more things in my microwave now than before. I love that it is digital and that I can choose how hot I would like to make things with the power button. I love the preset buttons as well. It normally took me about 3 1/2 minutes to make my cup of tea nice and hot but with this microwave about 2 1/2 minutes does the trick. I love the fact that it will beep after it initially goes off, Reminding you that there is something done in the microwave And that it does have a digital clock on it.

Perfect size microwave.

I received this Hamilton Beach 1.1 Cu.ft White with Stainless Steel Digital Microwave Oven from the Spark Review Program for my fair and honest opinion. I have very little counter space so when I get an appliance it has to be large enough to fit my needs and also sit on my countertop correctly. This microwave fits on my countertop (21" x 16" X 11" approximately) and also works great. One of the cons is the short cord, but fortunately my outlet wasn't far from where I wanted to plug it in. Now for its power-the output is 1000W. I always need this information when I'm heating frozen dinners. If your oven is this many watts, cook for this amount of time. Now I know what I'm working with. Everyone knows how a microwave basically works, so it works the same but with a few perks. I absolutely love that it reminds me that I have a product that is done in the microwave. It has a beep that sounds to remind me. It has a time and weight defrost button. There are six Express Cook buttons-one touch buttons. There's 10 power levels. For people that don't use power levels, they are very handy. You can lower the power by 10's so if you want 40% power, or whatever, you can set it. I use it all the time because I don't want my food splattering all over the oven. I also use the kitchen timer, not only for the microwave, but when I'm preparing a cake mix and have to mix it for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, I can set the kitchen timer, turn to the sink or counter where I'm mixing and see the timer-my mixer is loud so I need to watch the timer. Love it. The inside capacity is 1.1 cubic foot which allows me to cook large frozen dinners (family entrees), large bowls of foods, dinner plates, etc. it's plenty of space. The display area for the clock and time cook, etc. is clear and bright so you can see it well. I definitely recommend this microwave oven.

Great Microwave!

The Hamilton Beach 1000 Watt 1.1 cu. ft. microwave oven is a nice microwave with adequate wattage and features. This microwave is a little smaller than my last microwave but is still large enough for my needs. The outside dimensions are approximately 11" H x 21" W x 14.5" D and the inside dimensions are approximately 8 3/8" H x 14" W x 14" D. The wattage is a little less than my last microwave but the few extra seconds it takes is no problem for me. It actually pops my popcorn better than my old one without any burning. My other higher wattage one always burnt a few pieces even when I carefully listened to the popping.

The control panel has all the features that I need with Quick Cook buttons and Express Cook buttons included. There is a Time Cook button to set your cooking time precisely along with a Power Level button, Kitchen Timer, Time Defrost, Weight Defrost and Clock set buttons. The Cook Express 1-6 buttons are convenient to use if you don't need a precise time set to cook. You just press the "1" for 1 minute, "2" for 2 minutes and so on thru "6". 

I am pleased with this microwave and the ease at which it operates. Hamilton Beach has always proven to be an excellent brand to purchase and own.

A Nice Microwave!

As far as counter top microwave ovens go, this one was by far one of the nicest ones I have seen. It is pretty heavy so someone may require assistance getting it out of the box and placing it in the desired location, but it is sturdy and very well equipped. It had more options than I don't even know if I would ever use them all. It made a perfect bag of popcorn, popped all the kernels without burning any, perfect! There is a defrost option that came in handy when I forgot to take ground beef out of the freezer for game day chili. There is also a pizza, beverage and frozen dinner mode. This microwave is perfect for the kitchen that does not have a built-in. It is white with stainless trim to it will look great if you have stainless or white appliances. I really like it.

Nice!

This is very nice looking 1000 watt microwave oven. It is only 1.1 cubic feet, so keep that in mind. This is generally adequate for my needs. The first thing I did was read the instructions. There were only seven actual pages of instructions, but these few pages cover all the operations very nicely. It was easy to read and understand. You will be familiar with this oven in no time. 

I did a few measurements on this unit. First, I heated a cup of water (about 12oz) for one minute and twenty seconds. I compared this with another microwave rated at 1200 watts. The temperature of the water was 136 degrees for the Hamilton verses 148 for the other microwave, which seems about right. I also checked out the “quick cook buttons.” For “Beverage,” you push twice for 8 ounces. The oven ran for two minutes and heated the water to about 200 degrees. This might good for making pour over coffee, but is way too hot to drink without cooling. Similarly, the “Reheat” button ran the microwave for two minutes and thirty-six seconds; the “Frozen Dinner” button ran the microwave for four minutes and fifty-seven seconds; the “Pizza” option ran the microwave for 37 seconds; the “Popcorn” option ran the microwave for 2 minutes and 25 seconds, but displayed 3.5 before starting – perhaps this means it ran the power at 35 percent. Finally “Potato” ran the microwave for five minutes and fifty-seven seconds. Generally I do not use these quick options as it really depends on the portion size of the food. I just select a time based on prior experience – this works best for me. 

The microwave has “Express Cook” times of one through six minutes which is a nice feature. You can easily set power levels (there are ten), there is a defrost option (runs at 30 percent power), a kitchen timer, and it has a built-in clock. Overall, I found this microwave easy to operate. I really have no complaints.

One thing I noticed in the reviews of this oven, was the number of one and two star reviews. This is of concern to me as it was higher than other brands in the same price range that had a significant number of reviews. It could just be that more people who had problems actually bothered to post a review, whereas many people who had no issues simply did not post. This can skew the ratings. I don't know, but I won't know the reliability until I use it for a lengthy period of time. On the positive side, there is a one year warranty, and the customer support number is found on the bottom of every page of the instructions.
