the spin cycle is NOT quiet in any way. it sounds like an engine revving up and down. however it only lasts for a 1 minute or so.

I am wash a down fitted sheet (the thing under the sheet), 2 queen sheets, and about 6 pillow cases. each will have their own load.

the noise is OK. I use it in the bathroom, without closing the door. It is not disturbing working nextdoor.

I live in an apartment and had the same concerns. It is very quiet. I also make sure the machine is rolled onto a small rug at my kitchen sink, though I don't think it's really necessary. I was really surprised at how quiet. My mom was impressed, much quieter than her stack-able apartment washer. You cannot hear it from outside the door and I doubt from anywhere else in the building. It can be rolled into a closet, out of sight, when not in use.

i believe it is very quiet beause all i hear is when it spins and beaps when done

I am able to wash a queen size set of sheets.....noise level is quiet but not sure if it would go unnoticed especially if it were out of balance

I live in an upstairs apartment too. It is very quiet. No one knows I have it. The only reason it would make any noise is if got off balance, which is infrequent in my experience.

I wash my sheets in this washer and my husband and I have a queen. Normally I put my fitted sheet in with a towel and other little clothes like underwear. I too live in an apartment and my neighbors have never complained. Just make sure your load sizes are right and it is very quiet.

This is just fine, nice and quiet for an apt. I also can wash 1 Queen set sheets w/ cases... but JUST that.... don't add to it... LL

It is super quiet. I would say about as loud as a microwave running. That's nothing! The most noise it makes is the water running into it and when its sloshing around during the wash cycle. You're neighbors won't hear it... you could do a load at 3am if you wanted to.
You could wash a full queen set as long as they are lighter sheets. I can wash my full size set in there with four pillow cases but that is full. When using this washer you have to think of loads in poundage. 3-3.5 pounds of dry clothes per load. Thats it, dont overload! Its actually a good amount. My sheets weigh just over 3 pounds. Just weigh it out on your bathroom scale, you'll get the hang of it.

Yes this is very quiet. The only thing that i hear is the water draining into the sink. I have it set up in the kitchen and can not hear it 20 feet away in the living room.
As for the queen sheets. Yes!! With out a problem.

very quiet it's quietter than a mic.wave, the only noise you can hear is the beep at the end of the cycle which is no louder than an alarm clock, you can put the queen size sheet set in it. the fitted sheet, the flat sheet and the pillow cases all in one load.

This machine is the loudest thing ever. I've used it twice now and about ready to send it back!

Just received this past Friday april 24 2015. Tested this once with 2 pairs of khaki pants size 34 and 40. Wash rinse is not that loud but the spin cycle sounds like a jack hammer. Everything is level led. Wonder if haier changed their design since most answers are from 2010,11. Also leaks from the back, not from connector. Washes okay but the sound and leak has me thinking on returning. Definitely cannot use this after hours.

recently received this unit via fed ex. ordered Wednesday and arrived Friday. hooked this up over the weekend. wash and rinse is relatively quiet; not super quiet like the other answers. the spin cycle was extremely loud; all i washed was two pair of pants size 40 and 34 with 31 inches inseam; khaki material pants. spin cycle sounded like jack hammering. wonder if the unit is defective. machine is level to the floor; washes and rinses fine but the spin cycle is very noisy and definitely not usable at night.

if the washer is level and the load is balance; don&#39;t touch load after loading into washer ; the cycle is pretty quiet. on my third tried with 3 flannel shirts; 2 short; 8 pairs of socks the whole cycle was surprising quiet compare to my first two tries.

Sounds like construction workers jack hammering! HORRIBLY loud! Perfectly balanced. Must be defective.

Mine is very quiet. I usually forget that it is running. If you do have issues with it being loud, check that the machine is leveled and rebistribute the load back into the machine evenly. I have had clothes get oddly distributed during the wash that recently in a clunking during the spin cycle. I fixed it by pausing the cycle, taking the clothes out, and dropping them into the center of the tub one by one to let them evenly redistribute on their own. 

A queen sheet set can fit, just make sure that you use the High water level and add the items by dropping them into the center of the tub one at a time. Don&#39;t press them down into it, let the machine distribute them on its own.

Yeah, I saw that video and it's almost 2 years old. The machine has been redesigned since then and I think her supposition was incorrect even then.

If you drop the clothes in loosely without pushing them in, you will get a very good "clean" wash. Fill the tub with clothes to the top of the steel barrel only. Do not fill past the white rubber area.

If you do fill the steel area fully then you have to do a high level water wash.

You want your water level to completely cover the clothes once the water has filled the tub. You will notice the water pushes the clothes down itself. This allows it to have room to remove the dirty water.

I have washed a full size sheet set (flat, fitted & two standard cases) with no problems. When it comes to heavier items, like denim jeans I just wash 4 pairs and even then I still use the high water setting.

Yes we fill our washer by adding in items loosley until it reaches just the top of the tub inside so it's not over flowing, we can usually do a pretty good load. I usually wash out pants/jeans last because with those I can usually fit about 4 or 5 in, but that's also because my husbands work pants are thick.

Do not pack clothes into the washer. Drop them into the center of the washer.

I can put in about a half a regular load at at time. Just don't try to wash more than a couple pair of jeans at a time (with other things). Don't pack them too tightly, and spread them out. Make sure your water level is right.

That is not true. I wash a set of twin sheets at one time. They come out very clean. Just drop them in. Make sure you use the high water setting.

The machine resets to medium fill level each time, so I always change it to heavy load, highest water level. I can wash mine & my hubby's jeans, 2 shirts, plus socks & undies in one load. I have put a full sheet & fitted bottom in together. They all seem clean to me, but I always pretreat any badly soiled or stained areas first.
Since the lid is see-thru, you can easily start with less and add more by using the 'pause' feature. With a little trial & error, you will soon get a feel for how much you can wash at a time. Large or heavy items that don't move well like blankets, rugs, very large heavy bath towels, or plush terry robes would really strain this machine, I think. Take those to the laundromat. We have switched back to medium size bath towels, and use the huge ones at our house that has the larger washer.

I try to not fill it. If you fill it the clothes become tangled and get really wrinkled. But it's a matter of judgment just as with a regular washer. I do mine half full most of the time, but my queen duvet cover (two sheets sewn together) fills it. With that, I unwind it between rinse cycles. I have not had a problem with its cleaning power no matter how full, just wrinkles. 2 pairs of small stretchy jeans, 2 t shirts, and several pairs of underwear and socks are my average load, on medium water level.

I am able to wash one blanket or a set of queen sheets and they come out clean.....cannot say on heavily soiled items if that would require a second washing.
Clothes shouldn't be packed down.

you can wash a queen size sheet set ( fitted flat and both pillow case) in one load. yes just drop the clothes in loosely don't pack them down. cause if you back you will overload and they will not get clean and it will tear up the machine.

You should put clothing/sheets, etc loosely. Do not pack the machine. 5.5 pounds is the limit for clean clothing. I wash one pillow case and one queen size sheet at a time. Remember this is a compact machine.

Fill loosely, about as many items as an extra small load in full size washer ... example: I put 2 pair of jeans plus 2 or 3 t-shirts for a maximum load. Or one queen sheet ... top or bottom, not entire set. Can hold more but wouldn&#39;t clean or rinse as well. Clothes with straps or long sleeves become tangled even when machine is filled loosely so I wash these items in a wash bag.

How do you decide how full you should fill the machine with clothes?

The washer and the box it comes in would probably fit, but not the big box it's shipped in.

I drive a Mazda3 (4 door) and it would not fit in my car, we had to use a truck to pick it up from the store.

the box is a little big, may be tough to get through the doors but if you take it out you can definately fit it without a problem.

I can assure you that the box is really small but it depends what kind of small car you already have.

I highly doubt it--with the packaging it is large. My husband has a large car and he says it wouldn't have fit in his trunk the way its boxed. We had to take it home in the back of my truck.

YESSSSSSSS... I put it in the back seat of my Hyundai... can't get any smaller of a car than that... If it still won't fit... The machine is packed 2x.. the inner box is alot smaller than the Walmart shipping box it comes in.. Just a reminder..if ya don't want anyone to know yr bringing a washing machine in yr apt., don't take it out of the shipping box. The inner box shows a pic of what's inside..

Not inside the car. Maybe in the trunk but the trunk will not close, you will need to use a rope to hold it down.

Yes just take it out of the boxes I have a small car and that is how I got it in my car.

Good question!!! Unpacked, definitely. But in its box, well, I picked it up in my 2-door '06 civic and it would not fit in the trunk or back seat. I had to put it in the front seat with the seat laying fully back.

If you take it out of the inner box (and thus out of the outer box) it may fit. But you may also take a chance on damaging the machine. If you have lots of padding I suppose it would be ok.
