The cutting deck cover is made out of light weight composite and the blades are steel.

The cutting deck is steel per Greenworks. The wheels are rubber and should hold up longer than the usual plastic found on other brands.

Mine is steel. Why it is advertised as composite I have no clue. It also claims to cut a 21" path but the blade is just over 19" long.

This lawn mower thoroughly impressed me, while the price was definitely a selling point, I was also curious to see how an electric mower would handle my yard. Let's just say I'm pleasantly surprised! It cuts my lawn like a champ.weed ridden and all.

One downside was needing to buy a 100-foot extension cord for my larger lawn. However, the mulching bag feature is a game-changer. It makes the grass look so much neater instantly. Just remember to check it occasionally to avoid overfilling. I can even see myself using the clippings for compost down the line once I get a pile going.

Speaking of challenges, my backyard grass was initially quite tall and I had to raise the cutting height and mow it multiple times, gradually lowering it to my desired level. But I'm more than satisfied with the final result.

Here's a tip for anyone considering this mower: Rinse the underside of the blade after each use. Grass clippings can build up and dry, affecting the mower's performance.

Another big plus for me is how easy it is to store. The arms fold up neatly, and it being so lightweight makes it a easy to lift and put away in my garage. Unlike those bulky gas mowers I used to have oh and dont get me started on tune ups and gasoline lol

While I can't speak to its long-term durability yet, I'm confident this mower will handle all my summer mowing needs.

Lawn mower for low maintenance

I really wanted a cordless, but after reading all the reviews I was concerned about being able to mow my whole lawn on one charge. I'm glad I purchased this mower. I moved into a new home and parts of the grass were 2 get tall. This mower knocked it down with the mulching plug in place. You have to move a bit slower when in really tall grass but it cuts it just as good as a gas mower.  I ordered this with the 120' cord and I can reach anywhere I need. I'd recommend purchasing this electric mower without any reservation.

A workhorse of a mower for under $200

I like the fact that it allows you to mulch or use a bag whenever you have leaves to pick in the grass…super convenient…

You need to purchase a long extension cord. This mower is powerful and cut amazingly. This is my first electric mower and I am very impressed. It has several heights to cut to and cuts clean. My yard was a bit out of control when I got it and I was concerned. I raised the blade to the highest height and it cut right through grass over 8 inches tall and thick. Then, I lowered the blade to its lowest and recut so it was as low as I like it. It made short work of everything. The only set back is ensuring you don't run over a cord but it's worth it to not deal with gas the mower is excellent and better than my old gas mower. Do yourself a favor and get it. Not self propelled but it still easy to push.

The box was poorly taped together, which is a tell tell sign it's been returned. The tires had grass in them and the top of the mower had scuff marks.  I will never order online again!
