I recently brought this item to cook oven fried chicken and a beef roast. Let me tell you, it work Excellent! I was so happy that the actual meat do not sit in it's own fat and juices and it a great product for people that is on a Cholestrol Free diet. The pan is non- stick so you don't have to have use any cooking oils, sprays, and butter and the pan cleans up fairly easy to. I used the rack sometimes to drain oils and fats away from a variety of meats I cooks. It's a great pan for cooking anything from game, beef, poultry, or seafood. It's truly a nice pan to have in your kitchen, "I know I can't live without it!"

Thos is my favorite. So easy to clean and just the right size for for roasting and broiling. I've bought two so far.

Great roasting pan , good size for me ( not to big , not to small ) . I roast (6) boneless skinless chicken thighs , (12) wings , (6) beef short ribs , (6) brats , small beef and pork roasts , etc. in this , it is a great size for single or small serving sized meals ( great for a single person ) . It is a great broiler pan also for steaks , burgers and fish . I like the size because I don't have to clean a huge oven size broiling pan , and clean up is easy , just soak it and everything washes right off , I love it !

Granite ware 3 pieces

I debated and debated on broiler pans. I read reviews. I wasn't sure I wanted "Granite Wear" though my grandmother used it a lot. I went for it. I'm glad I did. I bought it for steaks and burgers, but recently made a meat loaf. All the fat drained off. Wow! I was thrilled. I love it. Its also easy to clean. I guess old things are still good- like granite wear. My grandmother would SO approve!

Better than expected

When I received it (something new to me) I was so impressed to see the wonder construction and design of this beautiful roaster. I have already planned my first Holiday meal using it. Really looking forward to using it knowing it will keep up with what Granite cookware is notes for. Thanks for carrying it in your store.

Something new to me. .

This Granite Ware roaster is 15 and 7/8 long from outside end of handle to end of other handle, so it will fit in some apartment size stove ovens. This is not a big roaster. The metal is turned under and crimped, but not really fully rolled, so use some caution if touching underneath the edges. A pot holder needs to be used when taking this pan out of the oven as the integrated handles will be hot . The bottom is slightly raised in the middle with a slightly lower drain edge along the sides, so the outside bottom is not flat. It says not to heat this pan while empty, and do NOT use this pan on a Glass Cooktop. Directions say this pan is dishwasher safe, that it is made in the USA (while the racks are made in China), and that it has no PTFE/PFOA. Granite Ware is relatively nonstick, so this roaster should wash up by hand without a lot of work as long as the porcelain coating is not scratched or scraped off. This pan and two racks has many uses, is less expensive than many roasters, so is recommended.

Handy, Modest Size Roaster/griller/broiler

Have not cooked with it yet. But was very happy with the size. Bought it for a prime rib and it should be the perfect size. Will not take up a lot of room in the cabinet when not using it.

It turned out to be smaller than I thought it would be. I was imagining it would be the same basic size as a broiler pan, I didn't actually pull out a tape measure and check to see the dimensions. I assumed, and that was stupid on my part. I oven fried a full package of chicken legs, but I had to do it in two batches, which was annoying to me.

That said, if the cooking area WAS as big as a broiler pan, it would get five stars from me.

I did worry it was going to be a huge pain to clean. I did a grease pour into a coffee can and scraped whatever I could into the trash, because it's what I do. I remove as much grease and food as possible before any dish hits my sink. I'm the person who rinses/soaks every plate and bowl (and utensil) before putting into dishwater, because if food gets in my dishwater I gross out and have to drain it and start over.

So I did soak my pan for half an hour and used my scraper to remove the pieces of chicken skin that had stuck. But a half hour soak let me scrape every bit of it, which I thought was fantastic. I had assumed that it would take repeated soaking/scraping before I could wash it.

And when I washed it, there was no need to scrub. Just wash. That part impressed me greatly, and so even though I'm sorely disappointed in the size, after twice baking stuck on food, it ended up being an easy cleanup. For that reason I'm definitely keeping it and will continue to use it, especially when cooking only for myself. The fact that a 30 minutes soak allowed every bit of baked on food to easily slough off genuinely impressed me.

I just wish so much it was big enough to cook a whole family pack of chicken legs together. As it is I'll only use it for my granddaughter and I, or when it's just me so that half a family pack is plenty.

Four stars because of size, but literally everything else about this pan deserves five.

I've used it once so far

It's a broiling pan. It warped from the heat the first time I used it, but I expected that. Make sure you hear it under the broiler before adding your meat so it doesn't stick. It cleaned up pretty well.

OK, it works…

I needed a large pan for broiling, and so I bought this one because it claims to be 17x12 inches. Absolutely false! It turned out to be only 14x9 inches, which was useless for my needs, so I had to return it. I wish I had read two reviews dating back 6 years ago, which complained that the pan was much smaller than the website claimed it was. Get you act together, Walmart.ca!! That was 6 years ago, and you still haven't fixed your misleading dimensions?!
