It's easy to clean if you do this immediately after taking the food out:

1. Unplug it.
2. Wet two pieces of paper towels and lay them on the grill and close it, or spray it with water from a spray bottle.
3. Come back after your meal and just wipe it down with a paper towel.

It is very easy to clean. I usually only have to wipe it clean. I make sure there is nothing stuck on it after I turn it off. I scrape off any burnt pieces.

Very easy to clean. Even charred areas wipe right off. I used a paper towel once it was cool and followed up with a wet soapy wash cloth. No problems so far.

Very easy to clean. Just soak 4 paper towels, double layer and put on grill just before you unplug it. Come back later rinse out the paper towels and gently wipe off. Very easy.....

You just have to be careful when cleaning it. I lean it over my sink and let the hot water run over it as I scrub. But it does feel a bit awkward, would prefer removable plates.

It is easy to clean when you use the plastic spatulas it came with. I use them to scrape off the charred meat and then I pour hot water on the bottom plate and the drip pan catches the water(the hot water helps the loosen grease or food bits). I then use a soapy scrubber pad (cloth) and then wipe it clean with a hot wet sponge or with wet Bounty paper towels.

It's easy to clean if you wipe it down right after you finish. I scrape off the grill with the spatula that comes with it and then wipe it down with a damp paper towel and keep doing it till the grill plates are clean. It's not a big issue. If you wait to clean it, the crud gets caked on.

Yes and no If you clean it before the grease and food have a chance to dry hard on it ,then yes. If you eat and then clean it the food and grease are harder to get off. If I was to buy another one I would buy the one with removable grills. They are dish washer safe. and much easier to clean as you can soak them if you have to to get it really clean with out leaving dryed up food on it

To hot for Panini but Makes great toasted sandwiches....grilled cheese is a snap! Cleaning is a breeze....just wipe with a wet paper towel, rinse over sink, and dry with paper towel....1.2.3. Never had teflon surface flake off & have had 5 GF grills!

I think you can make a pannini with this although I have not tried it. It is not that difficult to clean. Just with a sponge wipe it down and then with a napkin to clean the exess. I can get a little messy if your sponge is soapy and wet and it can drip off but I don't find it difficult.

I make pannis on it. It works very well for that. Cleaning it isnt too bad. It is non stick and the grooves are not that deep. I wipe it clean with a few paper towels after it cools without too much trouble. Check the Hamilton Beach grill that can cook open or closed though. I think I would have rather had it.

Pretty sure you can use it for paninis though I haven't tried it yet. And it isn't difficult to clean AT ALL if you clean it right away.

I tried to grill a ham & cheese sandwich for my husband. It was okay. Heated well & melted cheese. Grilling plates are NOT removable but unit is easy to wipe clean.

For cleaning... no! Just heat it up and then take a sponge (NOT THE GREEN ROUGH SIDE) and after you squeeze some water on it, just wipe it off with a wet sponge. Even after chicken mess left on it (by accident) for 2 days, cleaned off easy as all get out.

Never tried panini's on this grill. It is very easy to clean with a non-stick finish.

Yes, paninis come out great...

I find it very easy to clean... I leave my GF Grill on & wipe with a damp cloth.. Come clean with no problem, just be careful not to burn yourself...

It's supposed to be wobbly because the hinge expands to cook thick pieces of food.

My top is also wobbly but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Yes, it's called a floating hinge and it expands to accommodate thicker pieces of meat. Trust me; you want a floating hinge on any grill.
