I needed 100% aloe gel; this site listed aloe (  water, I think) as the only ingredient; but the bottle lists more. Photo is very hard to read, but obviously more than aloe   water. Complete waste of my $.

NOT 100% aloe

I have been buying for years because it 100 Aloe Vera. They are now adding other chemicals

no longer 100 percent

Never had a problem with these before. This time was different. I put this on my face as I usually do during my nighttime regimen broke out this time. I've been doing this for years. My forehead, cheeks and around my mouth burned so bad and had a bunch of flakey skin with small bumps. Idk if it was just a bad batch but I threw all 4 tubes away. Not taking any chances.

Not my best experience, at all.

This was a really good product previously and have been using it consistently for many years. Seems like they've changed the formula recently and now it burns my face whenever I applied it. The bottle used to say “no alcohol” on it but has since been replaced with other wording. I'm assuming they're hoping we won't notice the change. Not sure why they changed the formula but it's definitely not in a good way. I'll be returning this since it burns especially since it's advertised for sunburned/dry skin which are more sensitive in general.

Formula changed for the worse

I don't know why this product keeps being reformulated. There was never anything wrong with the 1st version I bought and tried of this product. However, I must say, the current 2023 reformulated version has a type of alcohol odor to it that none of the previous versions ever had. I am not a fan of it. It flares up my allergies. So, even though there is no fragrance added to it, the product now has a scent to it. The scent never 100% goes away either. Also, it flakes and cakes, unlike any of the previous versions ever did. Also, I don't understand the need to add sodium hydroxide as an ingredient,  even though it is being used as a ph adjuster, it still is a harsh ingredient to add to a product that is supposed to have major healing properties to it. I don't plan on repurchasing the newly reformulated version ever again. And, have no idea whether I am going to use up all of the remaining bottles of the new formula that I currently own at this time. Since, I did have to seek medical help from getting  some type of reaction from this product, I just can't recommend buying the new version that's out now. I would recommend stocking up on the previous version if you can find it for sure.
