Rated 5 out of 5 by JakeSFBA Works great! I've had this unit for a few weeks and wanted to wait until the weather turned hot before writing a review. Yesterday it hit 96 deg. F and was still over 85 at 8 pm.The main room my little studio measures 11x13 and has a Southern exposure. In the afternoon, once the sun hits, the room temps head up fast. When it hit 80 deg. F indoors yesterday I turned on the A/C and within the hour it was down to 74. I initially had it on setting 6 and Hi Cool. It stayed that way for a couple of hours, then I turned it down to 6 and Lo Cool. I left it on Lo Cool the rest of day.It kept the room coool all afternoon and evening. I though it was supposed to be noisy, but it's not bad at all. Once the temps got down below 85 the cooling began to cycle on and off by itself. Saved a bit power that way.It uses roughly 515 watts max. so a high-side estimate would make it cost around .40 to run it 6 hours. Not bad!Overall, it works great! It definitely does the job, and it was a great value! 06/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LizetteA Great fix for a huge problem We live in Mesquite NV and it gets very HOT here. Last year central air died and we were looking at $6,000 to repair or $8,000 to replace it. I ordered two of these units for the bedrooms and was thrilled they cooled the rooms better than our central A/C ever did and my power bill has dropped significantly. They run quietly and and were easy to install. Couldn't have asked for a better unit 04/26/2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by hungariangirls Does not cool properly-horrible We've bought 2 of these for our bedrooms. It will not cool correctly. We have another brand that we've had 8 years in our daughter's room. It will still freeze you out. These will not get cool. Even after waiting the 3 minutes it will start to cool and then the compressor will turn off after just 2 or 3 mins. We've woken up every night this week hot. Not worth the money for this brand. Another big box store has a different brand for the same price and more reliable. Taking both back. 04/21/2012
