I think it could be, but use screw anchors &amp; don&#39;t put heavy stuff in it

you wouldn&#39;t want to put more than maybe 50 pounds (22.7kg) on it for an extended period of time. keep in mind it is basically wood chips held together with glue and a vinyl coating. nowhere near as sturdy as solid wood. adding a good wood glue to all joining surfaces and putting it on a solid non-carpeted surface would make it slightly better.

This cube is very easy to assemble and looks great!  I love these cubes, as you can change them around to your liking.  They have dowels and little brackets, so they stay even and together.

AMAZING FOR THE PRICE!  Pieces are smooth, straight, with excellent top finish . The color, dark brown, is perfect with all of my dark woods. All shelving fit together perfectly, although the middle shelf is difficult to place and needs two people, one to hold, the other to screw in place.
Very pleased with this excellent unit!

Divided storage unit foremost

We got these to put on casters and use as under bed storage.  They are sturdy, but not too heavy and easy to put together.  I like the short dowel rods used for construction and the backs slide in to grooves instead of having to be tediously tacked in with nails like similar products.  We would definitely get this brand again.

Good value for the price

Easy to put together and sturdy enough to put something on top.  I did think it would be quite a bit heavier, but it isn't too heavy.  It does help to have a second person to assemble.  I had my son help me, and it took us about 5 minutes.

Nice storage

I believe it will function however the top was cracked when we received it. A bit disappointing, but it's living under a bed and should manage a few years. I hope.

Arrived cracked

Clear instructions and easy to assemble.  What  was not said is that this item has to be used in horizontal position. I needed to use it in vertical position to hold my printer  and then design flow - no 90 deg locks and not enough screws, showed up - it is very easy to tilt it from vertical.

Storage cube

Looks good and works fine when used horizontally. A bit unstable when used vertically. I don't recommend placing heavy items on top or sitting on it.

Storage Cube

This storage cube is typical of assemble-it-yourself products: chipboard, covered with woodgrain vinyl contact paper, which you assemble using dowels and screws. My unit arrived in a damaged box, but all the parts were there, unscathed, so I proceeded with assembly.
There was one barely noticeable raised 'line' on the bottom board; it appeared that the contact paper had been applied over an imperfection in the chipboard. No problem, as the top and bottom pieces are interchangeable, as are the left and right sides.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I applied a bead of wood glue to both ends of the side and middle boards before assembly. All the dowel and screw holes lined up as they should.
There are four plastic, and four wooden plugs included, to cover the screw holes.  The plastic plugs are fine; pop them into the bottom screw holes, no problem. The wooden plugs for the top of the unit, however, are a different story. First, they are raw wood, so they would be glaringly obvious against the 'Honey' color I had chosen. Ok, soak them in some coffee for a while, to give them a little color. Let them dry, apply a drop of glue, insert into screw hole, and seat with a wood mallet. This is where this storage cube lost a star; it would have been more if I wasn't handy with tools. The plugs are twice as long as they should be! They protrude 3/16" above the surface. I used some plastic shim stock to protect the top of the unit, and trimmed them flush with a fine-toothed pull saw. Now, of course, I will have to stain them again. )8-(

Could have been 4 stars ...

Once assembled, it's not straight or sturdy.  I followed the assembly instructions to a T.  I'm fairly handy and confident that I didn't make a mistake when I put it together.  The holes aren't spaced properly so the unit rocks when on a solid surface.  A folded sheet of paper under one corner made it acceptable which is the only reason I'm not returning it.  Also, if you attach the backing supports according to the instructions, 2 of the screws show from the inside.  It can only properly take the 2 that go into the center shelf.

Poorly constructed

Very dissapointed with my purchase. Low quality shelving that i had to return as soon as i tried to set it up. Its basically made out of thick paper over a frame. Wish i would have know that and i wouldnt have gone theough the effort of purchasing anything in this foremost line.
