It's because it doesn't light up. The specification says "3 lights" so that means only the 3 lights around the sun. But yeah, it would have been good if the sun also lights up.

the sun does not light up. only the small lights around the outer edge do. hope your niece had better luck with it then I did.

The sun in the middle does not light up. There are only three little lights around it.

I cannot get the sun in the middle to light-up! How do I?

This was an excellent purchase!!  It was a gift for a new baby, the blanket is sooo soft and cuddley-----and washable!!  The toys were easy to put on.  The music is not too loud, and I am sure that the baby will have lots of hours of enjoyment with this little gym!!

Love this playmat. Beautiful, gender neural colors. Great quality and soft padding.

My little one loves this. The plush is comfy and the it both has hard and soft toys. The music is clear and jolly. The mat is big so it needs more space. The mirror is also big which is a plus. The rotation is proper, not slow like the other Fisher Price gyms. The only flaw I find so far is that it only plays for 6 minutes.

I haven't used this yet, I received it off my baby registry. But, I am thrilled over the colors being soft on the eyes. It's hard to find baby items that are not bright colors.

Everything about this gym is great except for the mobile. The lights and music work great, but our mobile won't turn. Sounds like the motor is moving, but no movement for the mobile. 

And when I've tried emailing fisher price about this the website just won't submit my email.

Description says music plays for 20 minutes. Music only plays 7 minutes. Contacted fisher price and in process of getting replacement hub.

Somewhat disappointed.

First one stopped working after a few uses. Customer service was great and sent a replacement. Then the second one stopped working. Again, customer service was wonderful and sent a different option out. Do not recommend this one, but very happy with the customer service! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bad Motor

I bought this for my daughter and I have had it for less then a month, and I have already had Fisher price send me a new motor for the mobile. I got the new one and it lasted less then a day and then it stopped moving with brand new batteries. I have since emailed Fisher price again and they going to refund my money.

don't waste your money!!

In keeping with the theme of many other reviews, I'm writing to express disappointment in the quality of this product. We had this mat for 1 week before the mobile stopped working, change of batteries did nothing. I would not recommend this product, not worth the money or effort.
