Book Information

The following content was provided by the publisher.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana's quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too--but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success--his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family--Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey's secrets and explores her own dark desires.
Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.
This book is intended for mature audiences.

Rated 4.8 out of 5★ by 206reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by OMG!!!! I ended up reading this book in 2 days. I could not stop! This will make you sweat. I can't wait to read the next one. 04/29/2012
Rated 3 out of 5★ by Starts off great but could have been better The story as a whole is alright but as you go through the rest of the book (and into the second one) it's a 3 page sexual experience every 3 pages. Ana is rediculously naive and her "beginning" into BDSM is very far fetched. I love erotica and this one has decent erotica and an "ok" story but I think the writter hinged the whole book too hard on doing every single sexual act between Christian and Ana (like she used it to fill the book because she couldn't or didn't want to add other events/story to it). I've read erotica that can do both and I guess I'm holding this author to too high of a bar. I'm at the end of the 2nd and had bought the 3rd at the same time as the 2nd but will most likely return it as the 2nd hasn't been as good as I thought it would be and don't see the 3rd being worth the read. If you are looking for pure sexual interaction between two main characters this is for you. If you want erotica and story I'd suggest The Black Dagger Brotherhood etc. 03/16/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good Read I read books, not for knowledge, but instead to unwind. This is the perfect book, if you want to get away from everyday stresses and drown in your imagination. An extra perk... you're mate might thank you :) 06/08/2012
Rated 4 out of 5★ by unusal book Was told that this book was rather kinky and it lived up to my expectations. But the story was very good and kept me reading The author really knows how to write a book. The ending was such that you had to read the next book 08/26/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Love this book It's a grown up book kids should not read but it is a very very good book 02/09/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Fifty Shades I absolutely love this book. I don't care what others say about it being repetitive or poorly written, I enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it to any woman out there :) it keeps you wanting more every time you put the book down! 08/20/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by hott!!!! I read it twice already 01/28/2014
Rated 2 out of 5★ by Not What I Thought The book took some time to get into. To me it read slow. There was a story, but it took about 200 pages to get interesting. Then the ending...well I won't spoil it. I can't say I was thrilled, but now feel like I have to read the rest of the books to know what happens! 05/02/2012
