Yes, the side ottomans are hollow inside however the bottom is a thin non-woven fabric. Lightweight bulky items like blankets would be best.

I would not hesitate to store anything you can think of in the side ottomans. I would simply use care and common sense about moving them and picking them up if the contents are very heavy to prevent the bottom from getting damaged.

I would however be very cautious of what you put in the large one. As there is nothing to prevent the contents from ripping through the sides.

Yes, I have one in my 1/2 bath with no closet, extra T.P. Pull up's, soap, over flow of cleaners. One in my mud room, hats, mittins, etc. one by the bedside, etc.

Yes you can. The lid sets in a slightly recessed frame and can be used with the smaller ones still inside.

Yes, however only 2 fit inside at a time.

I haven't tried it yet, but I doubt it. Because the cushion of the big ottoman's cover is quite high, I do not think it will fit inside with the other ottomans within it, when the cover is flipped to be used as a tray.

Can you still use the serving tray with the side ottomons inside of the larger one?
