Finally a spatula that works well!  I make a lot of buttercream frosting that requires a sturdy spatula to scrape the mixer bowl and small enough to load pastry bags without bending.  I've been looking a long time and happy I found this set.

Very Sturdy Spatula

Excellent spatulas that appear that they will last a long time. One piece construction. Much better than the wooden handle spatulas that usually separate plastic from wood.

Love using these when I'm Baking, able to scrape the bowls.

Some buyers will be disappointed because these are not as flexible as other silcone spatulas.   I have other flexible spatulas, but I purchased these for greater stiffness. 

Since silicone bends, greater stiffness means greater thickness.  So I expected that would be stiffer and thicker. 

These still bend, but not as much as other silicone spatulas.  

So when you scrape a jar and want to leave nothing behind, you may have to go back a second time and angle the spatula differently, because it will not conform absolutely to the rounded corner.  For a bowl, it will be fine.

For example to get jelly scraped out, a more flexible spatula would be perfect.  But for peanut butter (thicker), these will do the job better -- the flexible ones will not pick up as much.

STIFFER AND THICKER THAN OTHER SILICONE SPATULAS

I'm using these for baking. They're really great quality. The larger one is great for mixing ingredients in a bowl. The bottom is flexible enough to scrape a mixing bowl, but relatively stiff when compared to the "typical feel" of spatulas. The smaller one is more flexible and has more of a give to it; it's probably better for scraping hard to reach areas. Both are one piece with no joints, which is more sanitary than the ones where the spatula and handle are two separate pieces. Both feel very durable.

Strong, durable, flexible

I like this because the scraper part and handle are all one piece...Because when you wash other kinds...mold gets into the opening where the handle inserts into scraper...Would like other colors available...

Just what I wanted

I expected a thinner more flexible product. I was pleasantly surprised to note that the handle/base is thick and not flexible at all. The silicone scraper sides are slightly flexible allowing for great scraping of the sides of bowls.

Better than I thought they would be.

These are very well-made, and they are all one piece. My previous spatulas came apart and didn't wear well. These new spatulas should last a very long time.

Well Made and Sturdy

We've had a set of these for years and when the large one finally wore out, we were hapoy to find that Farberware still makes them.  Like most things nowadays, they must be made with cheaper material or fewer standards, because the big one from the new set snapped within two weeks of use- the same sort of everyday, normal home kitchen use its predecessor had survived for almost a decade.

what happened?

Yes, the one piece design is better than those 2 piece spatulas where the blade detaches from a wood or plastic handle and either accumulates all kids of food stuff in the connection (gross and unsanitary) of falls off mid-stir, or both :-( And they are nicely reinforced down the center with a rigid probably metal core, making them sturdy enough to move even the thickest and heaviest items around (ie, peanut butter.) Of course, being silicone, they are gentle to nonstick pans and are easy to clean.

But these spatulas fall far short in shape and blade design -- their edges are dull and clumsy. A good silicone spatula should be able to easily scrape any flat surface clean as a whistle, and get into every nook and cranny with ease. These are only capable of pushing the food around. Any spatula, or wooden spoon for that matter, would perform about as well.
