No. But the towel rack only sticks out approximately 2 inches, so it doesn't take up much space.

Can the towel rack be attached to either side of the cart?

No, it has a bar across the back that helps it be a little more sturdy that might look like a paper towel holder from the picture. Certainly you could sit paper towels on top of the rack itself.

We have been looking for a kitchen island for months and finally found this. We have cherry cabinets and stainless steal/black appliances in our newly remodelled kitchen. This piece of furniture works great with it. The stainless steel top did have a slight cut in the top of it (I'm guessing from someone cutting the top of the box open.) And the picture doesn't show the hinges on the outside of the doors. The hinges would only go on the outside of the doors. Overall, it looks GREAT! Such a great piece of furniture for the price. I highly recommend!

GREAT piece of furniture!

After much searching, my fiance and I came across this item online. We recently moved and have a smaller kitchen than we are used to. This product is even bigger than I thought it would be and works wonders! I am able to store all of my cooking items, dishes & glasses inside. It has wheels so it can easily be moved, and the steel countertop is a great food prep space that also looks nice. Assembly of the unit was intense and took several hours - also, wood glue and various knicks make it look a little unkempt, but overall it looks great and goes above and beyond the intended function. I am so glad I bought this!

The perfect small kitchen solution!

For a temporary fix of a much needed kitchen remodel, it will work. The price is much greater than the quality. It looks like we paid a lot less for it. The directions and pictures are very deceiving. Luckily my very handy husband can build anything. We had to place it against a wall because the backside is less than desirable and just looked awkward as an island. It was a necessary evil for us until we remodel and I'll be lucky if I get $20 for it at a garage sale.

it's only temporary

The instructions was written out bad the handle was no good I still need a handle like when u try to tighten one of the handles it just will tighten it have a nice look just the quality is not so good

Not good

When I first saw this online I thought it was a perfect fit for our kitchen but as my husband and I started to put it together we both realized this was not a good decision. This product was very difficult to put together and the instructions weren't completely clear. One of the drawers didn't have the holes drilled in and the parts weren't labeled. I would not recommend purchasing this product!

Not satisfied at all

This product had every problem possible with putting it together. The dowel holes were not created in the correct areas for the main frame to line up. There were missing parts, and the top piece was bent and does not seal on the top and lock into the cabinet.

A poorly made product

This is by far the most unreliable and bad quality wodden piece of furniture I have ever bought. The wood cracks when the screws are screwed in. Most of the holes for the wooden dowels don't line up hence we ended up not putting the dowels in at all. The instruction manual is extremely incorrect and vague so I had to do lot of trial and error. The entire frame of the cart is very wobbly and weak. Its taken me hours at end to get this thing assembled and I am going to end up having to tape up parts of it where the wood has come off!!!

Worst value for your money!!!

Worst purchase ever

Contrary to other reviews, I did not have any trouble assembling the unit by myself although it was obviously not very well made. Less than 2 months in, the top of the unit had warped so bad that it pulled through the fasteners and I am unable to re-secure it. In addition, the top is actually just a board with a stainless steel cover and now that cover is peeling away from the wood around the edges. Overall, a very cheap product and not worth the $300!

Would not suggest

This was a gift for my daughter. They began to put it together and struggled from the beginning. The holes were not lining up properly - the pegs were not fitting. One of the sides broke. We ordered a replacement side - that came all scratched. We are packing up the pieces and will be returning this to Walmart this week. Very disappointed with the quality. We have bought and put together many items before and never experienced such problems before.

Disappointed

I purchased this cart for my kitchen for extra space. When the box was delivered it was ripped in some spots but that does happen while in route. I started putting this together. First of all it says minimal assembly. WRONG. The entire cart has to be assembled. It took us over 3 hours and then when we put the stainless steel top on, it was so warped it wouldnt even meet the other pieces of wood to insert the cam bolts and dowels. I am very displeased with the manufacturer of this product and would never purchase anything from them again. But Walmart was great. They offered a replacement  and offered a refund immediately. But I had to take the entire 80% finished product apart to pack back in the ripped boxes and await UPS pickup.
