The paper quality in this hardbound journal is exceptional!  Hence the name, Exceed!  Ive purchased several and disappointed to no longer find in the store.  Great value for the money.

Excellent quality and value

This is a great alternative to the moleskine notebooks, and a lot more affordable! Great if you are just getting started with bullet journaling and still figuring out how you want to organize your notebook; or if you don't get too involved with the decorative aspects of bullet journaling. 
Perfect for my needs.

Great for the Price!

I've been looking for a dotted notebook for the longest time and this one was perfect!!  It was super affordable and the paper quality is great!  I've been writing in it with my Sharpie pen and the ghosting is so little.  I would definitely buy this notebook again!

Superb!

I tried a cheaper made journal and although it was nice to write in, I needed the heavier paper of this journal as I like to add designs/marker/colors/stickers to my pages. Worth it's price for that and like the elastic holder as well. A nice size in your hands and fits nicely in my side table drawer.

Great quality journal!

Listen, I love these EXCEED journals. I got it kind of off-handed when I wanted to start a journal. When I had filled it up I got a Moleskine..... the Moleskine majorly disappointed me after this one. This journal has 2 bookmarks which is really useful if you do bullet journal type tracking. I love the dot grid, which provides some semblance of structure without being overwhelming. It has oodles and oodles of pages. But best of all- the pages are thiccccc!!! I watercolor quite a bit (and listen, I know this isn't watercolor paper but I'm not trying to become a pro-just doing some relaxing in conjunction with journaling) and it barely bleeds through! Take that in comparison with the Moleskine which you could see paint for a least 2 pages further and even just a heavy pen is visible on the other side of a page. Anyway, I like this journal a lot - def recommend.

better than Moleskine (for me)

This is a great starter bullet journal. The dots are pretty close together and the overall notebook feels remarkably similar to Moleskin at a much more reasonable price. The paper is a nice quality, but it is thin and markers will bleed through. Sharpie Pens are great to use on it. *I received this product at a discounted price for my unbiased review

Great first Bullet Journal

Dots are light enough to see what you write more than the dots themselves (which is great) and the pages are yellowish - unexpected but quite nice. Havent had any trouble with bleeding through the page but if you use black gel pen you can see a bit of the line through the other side. With felt tips, might see a little bleeding if repeatedly paint through the page, but still nothing that bothers a lot.

Size is excelent and doesnt close on its own wich helps while using it.

Good Overall

I like the journal, but I do wish the paper was a little bit more durable. It's easy to tear if you erase too hard by accident. Other than that I love the size of this journal and that the dots don't overpower the designs you create on the pages. I'm not sure if I'll purchase it again because I think I want a journal with more pages like 200+

Good

I love bullet journals and have trouble finding them locally. When I saw this one at a local Walmart, I was super excited. 

From inside the plastic wrap, it seemed to look very similar to the Leuchtterm1917. It's an A5 size bujo and has a choice of decent colors. However, that's where the similarities end.

Unlike the higher end journals, the hardcover is soft and rubbery. The band actually left a permanent mark on the cover. To me. that doesn't bode well for the durability.

It has one ribbon that is pretty cheaply made, as opposed to two or three decent ribbons with other, pricier models. There is no index and the pages aren't numbered. So, you will have to put more work into it.

The pages color is a little darker than I prefer, but it's okay. The pages also bleed through with highlighters and markers, but my Micron fineliners, Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens, and gel pens have minimal ghosting.

Overall, these dot grid journals are okay. My local store had the for less than $7, so I'm satisfied. As with most things, you get what you pay for. I'm using this journal to experiment and have fun. 

If you are new to bullet journaling, I recommend it. However, if you're expecting a Moleskine or Leuchtterm1917, you will be disappointed, so save your money.

Not bad for the price, but...

I love this notebook but it's definitely not the one I wanted. This one is smaller and doesn't have page numbers or a page for an index. It's still a really good notebook but I wish the website gave a better description so I knew what I was getting beforehand.
