My husband is very happy to have this Everstart Automatic Battery Charger. He's thrilled by the variety of features, the simple yet thorough instruction booklet and the charging speed: seven times faster than his current charger. It even has an internal fan to keep it from overheating.

Great Asset

I'm an older guy and I've been doing my own mechanic work since the 1980's. And, I have to say that this is the finest battery charger/starter that I've ever owned. To begin with. It's computerized. There's no worries about undercharging or overcharging and damaging the battery. It can't happen. The computer inside keeps it at just the right charge. If your battery is completely dead, there's even an engine start button. Normally, those are reserved for the larger chargers like you see in the mechanic shops. It even does battery repair and reverses sulfate build up. To top it all off, you can even keep check on your alternator with it. Just press a button and it tells you if it's performing well or if it needs replacing. Top of the line in every way. Highly Recommended!

Charging my car battery at home has never been easier! This portable battery charger has a bright, easy to read, LCD screen that instantly displays the current battery status, amps, and voltage when connected. It offers a safety feature that instantly warns if the charging cables are placed on the wrong terminals. If you accidentally cross the wires when connecting the charger to the battery, positive cable on negative terminal or negative cable on positive terminal, a warning alarm instantly sounds so you can immediately correct the cable connections. 

At about 10” long x about 5” tall x about 10” wide, it's compact enough to easily store in a basement, garage, or shed. Remember that this charger doesn't hold a charge. Charging My Car Battery Has Never Been Easier!

I love everything about the EverStart Maxx 15 AMP Automatic battery charger it has all the bells and whistles anyone could ever ask for first it does a 50 AMP engine start so you can get up and go quick if you need to it has battery recondition mode so for your old battery this will make it like brand new again leave it on for 24 hours our so and it works we tried it with the jeep it starts right up now with out a problem and it has alternator check to see if it’s in good condition our bad this does everything a mechanic will cost you a arm and leg for that information while this does it for you so you actually know if it’s good our bad and it has a battery voltage checker for you to see where your battery is at it does it all plus you can leave it on your car truck jeep 4 wheeler all winter long and be ready in the summer it does it automatically for you you just put it on your battery and there you go leave it there all winter and not have to worry about your battery messing up and if it ages you have the battery reconditioned mode to fix that problem it’s all around the best thing to have for your cars and trucks bikes ATVs etc I highly recommend you getting one know questions asked 10/10 all day!!

Everstart Maxx 15 Amp Automotive Battery Charger With 50 Amp Patented Engine Start

This is a good Machine. It has more options than any battery charger I have ever owned. I am an ancient man, I have owned several. The “Check Alternator” feature is amazing. How many times have people bought a new battery when what they needed was a new alternator? Thousands and thousands, that's how many. Millions would not be a stretch. The majority of consumer battery chargers do just that. Charge batteries. The addition of the patented 50 Amp engine start lifts the Everstart Maxx well above any competition. I have not found a fault- 5 stars.

Battery Charger- Alternator Tester- Jump Starter

While it appears to be a nice quality charger it is a bit confusing as to if it would work for the AGM battery on our boat. You really need to scour the included manual to details. Easy to read display. Clamps hold well. The metal handles on the front are a nice touch to protect the controls from any accidental bumps.

Simple to use

I hooked this up to my diesel truck with dual batteries as a test. They were not low, but I had not driven it in a week or more, so I wanted to see what this would do. I connected it up, hit charge and it went to full charge mode. Within a minute or two, it dropped down to a low level trickle and showed that the battery was well over 90%. In a very short amount of time, it was at 100% and both batteries were fully charged. One issue I had with this "smart" charger was my wife left her trunk open on her car (a few days) and the battery completely drained due to a light in the trunk compartment I tried this smart charger with no success. Hooked it up and hit charge and walked away. Maybe I did something wrong, but the display just showed battery recondition when I checked it several hours later. I thought maybe it went to that mode because it was completely dead, even though I never pushed the recondition button, only the charge. After leaving it on overnight, I had nothing. I hooked an older charger up and it worked with no issues, so it did not like a completely dead battery for some reason.

Nice Charger with Options

One of the good things about this charger is that it shows you how many amps your battery has, a bad thing is that if your battery has less than 2 amps, this will not charge it. I put my 12V gel cell battery on charge, that showed 3.5 amps, and made sure it was on lead battery charge. It acted like it was going to charge then flashed as if it were fully charged, then sent into reconditioning mode. I left it on to finish. After 32 hours, it was still in recondition mode. After 48, same. I took it off, installed my battery to my vehicle and NOTHING! DEAD! I attempted to put it back on charge, while still in my vehicle, plugged directly into a 110 outlet, no extension cord and it did the same thing. The battery was fine prior to trying to charge it. It died due to interior lights left on but this charger would not charge it. There isn't a manual mode to try to force a charge either. While still hooked up, I tested the start feature. It worked just fine. Then tried to alternator check.. worked just fine. I would imagine this charger works fine for lawn mowers, tractors,  UTVs, etc. keeping the batteries charged.

Uncharged

I do not have a lot of positive things to say about this Charger. Although it does have a lot of Features it has one major flaw. My car battery died. I had left something plugged into one of the power plugs that's constantly on. My battery was completely dead. After doing some online research I decided to buy this one. Mind you I read the description provided by several of the online stores that sell them. For all of the features the price was fantastic. I actually was stranded at home because this is my only vehicle so I ordered it online. Well I received it. I read the instruction and hooked up. Turned it on. Got nothing. It had symbols on screen but not correct ones to start Charging. After a few tries I unhooked the battery and took it out of the car. Again I hooked up the Charger. Again nothing. After several frustrating tries I went back and read the instructions and there it was listed under Trouble Shooting. THIS CHARGER WILL NOT WORK ON BATTERIES WITH LESS THAN 2 AMP CHARGE". OMG you can't be serious. So this charger will only work on batteries that already have a charge. You know what would have been nice? How about putting that on the box and in the description. Don't you think that bit of information is important?
