This bag has straps to be hung by a chain

It doesn't come with a stand but, there is other options that come with a stand..

You can hang it on a stand like I did, or mount it to the ceiling. I think a stand is a better idea, though.

you can buy a stand for it or hang it buy a chain. that have a special bracket kit to buy to mount it to the floor beam in your basement. i just used a large hook-eye from my hardware store, drilled a hole into the bottom of one of my floor joists, screwed in the hook-eye bolt and it works great. its not a horribly huge weight, the bag is 100 pounds, i weigh over 200 lbs and can hang from the hook-eye bolt easily so it works great for the bag.

No. If you are mounting it in your basement I would go to Home Depot and get a 3/8" eye bolt with a Safe Working Load of at least 200LB (mine is 350LB) screw that thing all the way into the joist and it should work great for you.

Yes. This bag comes with a five inch chain, a double ended swivel, and three carabiners total. I have this hanging from a ceiling joist in the basement (with a heavy bag spring to avoid driving my wife nuts) I did not need the chain or one of the three carabiners your mileage may vary though.

All in all I could not be happier with this purchase - I&#39;d only recommend (based on your set up) that you see if a 5&quot; chain (I&#39;m guestimating - looks like 6 one inch chain links so it could be a bit longer), three one inch carabiners (again guestimating on the small side), and a two inch double ended swivel (again guestimating on the small side) are going to be long enough to fit your needs.

Like I said with the spring, the two carabiners, and the swivel are plenty for me - the chain + carabiners give you a degree of flexibility - i.e. you choose how many links you need to use and the spares just sort of &quot;dangle&quot;. You would need a pair of bolt cutters if the dangling extra chain bothered you.

This is a well-made Everlast bag. The rustic color of the bag

This thing is definitely an old-school punching bag. You can pound the daylights out of this thing and YOU are more likely to get hurt than the bag is if you don't know how to punch correctly.

I'm a hard puncher and this is the first heavy bag I've ever owned that I was sure would be able to take the kind of pounding that I give it. Forget those new style punching bags, this thing not only gives you a workout, but it also forces you to punch with the right technique...or it will bite you!
