Yes,they have vents on both the + and - side with one plug that comes with the batt. Just attach the vent hose fitting to either side.

Do any of these H8's have a provision for a vent hose? If not, is that a problem for trunk mounted batteries?

Good morning. That vehicle takes the H8 or H7 AGM batteries and Walmart does not sell anything to replace that.

I emailed the company who makes this battery and they informed me that the Amp Hours (AH) is 80 and the Reserve Capacity (RC) is 150.

Not entirely true. Amp hours seem to only be ADVERTISED for marine batteries, since other batteries are not designed to be totally discharged. Amp hour rating has importance to deep cycle and marine batteries but little importance for a normal auto battery. All batteries have an amp hour rating. It is just not important to most battery uses. For the average shopper Product expert is right.

I think this is probably a bit of an inventory control issue. Went to the Stockton store, thinking they had the battery. They didn't, so had to run up to Lodi. They were a bit short staffed, but all worked hard to get me to happiness, so it's all good. Thanks!

Battery is fine - just had to chase it done

The 1st lasted 6 years, so I went with it again. I took the little white plastic spacer out and it fit perfect.

2nd one in my E46

The battery for my 2009 a6 died over night and luckily I live within walking distance of Walmart. I used the Walmart search engine for the battery size for my car and was able to order and pay on line and get the battery for a great price.  By the time I was able to remove the battery from my vehicle, Walmart had sent me a conformation from customer service that my new battery was ready for pick up. My son skate boarded to Walmart to borrow an art because an H8 battery weights about 50 pounds. The new battery was just a little smaller in length than the original Audi A6 battery but fit and was able to be properly secured by the cars clamps. Overall I am very happy with the results and feel I received a great deal

It came the next day, so that was quick. Sadly, the carrying handle was broken.

Everything was fine until the low battery signal started coming up after 3 months. Going to get it exchanged.

I had this battery in my 2000 Jaguar XK8 for three years until it exploded. Yes, exploded! I was repositioning my car in the garage. I moved it over once but wanted to move it again. When I turned the key I heard aloud bang. I opened up the trunk (where the battery is located) and the battery was in pieces. Battery acid was all over the trunk. I would never buy this battery again.

Buy at your own risk

The battery dies 2 weeks after the 36 months warranty period. The time I purchased the battery it came with 63 replacement 60 prorated battery. While I understand that warranty was changed for batteries sold in 2022 but Walmart refused to honor the warranty at the time I purchased it and essentially told me to just go away. I will never purchase an EverStart battery or anything with a warranty from Walmart. I hope a class action will be filed against them for changing the terms retroactively.
