Got this for my elderly cat she's prone to constipation I generally give her miralx but thought it was a good idea to also to have this on hand for her too

Mineral oil has many uses.  It is used to keep metal from rusting, lubricating door hinges, protecting food equipment in restaurants, it's the main ingredient in baby oil and other skin lubricants, and of course an old-school laxative.  If you do swallow this stuff for that purpose, make sure you're not eating for hours afterward because it blocks the absorption of nutrition!  Equate's version is the same as any other more expensive brand.

love using this when my hands are exceptionally dry - especially after doing crafts dealing with adhesives or laundry %26 rinsing with warm water %26 lightly patting dry.

Used on wooden rings to protect and enhance beauty of the wood. Worked like a charm! Untreated rings, are to the right of the photo to compare to the treated rings/completed projects.

Off-label use

Upon recommendation, I used this to rub on old wood Duck Decoys after cleaning with water. I buffed off the excess, %26 let them sit overnight. It definitely helped rehydrate the wood.

Equate Mineral Oil

This is often the main ingredient in many expensive lotions. I often develop contact dermatitis from the fragrance or other chemicals. This gixes that and saves me a lot of money

For My Hide

Mineral oil has so many health benefits and it works wonders on your hair and skin. You don't need to use very much so you won't have to buy it often saving you money. It is an excellent product for many things.

Superb

I noticed over time when looking for some lotion or moisturizer that a main ingredient was frequently 'mineral oil' with a bunch of other things added in for stabilizers, fragrance, preservation and other additives to either act as a supplement (aloe) or to tend to a more specific issue such as cracked skin (coco-butter).

This stuff seems more plain but I like that. When in a no oder (pleasant or "not so much") policy in some setting(s) such as health care. I use it on my facial hair, feet, elbows, hands and other areas where I feel would  either look good and/or feel better. Additionally, it helps areas recently waxed or manscaped, and can fill in for lubricant in intimate interactions. Without all of the additives the mineral oil (with doctor's approval) can be consumed for a laxitive effect or in the case of an impaction related to constipation will break down the hardened stool.

The mineral oil is not greasy, messy, costly, harmful. It cleans up nicely and your skin will obsorb it fairly rapidly.

Baby oil without the baby smell and it works great

I'm not loving the hefty price increase since my last purchase, but...I keep this product around for many uses: waterproof makeup remover, conditioner for wooden spoons, bowls,  and cutting boards, etc.

Easy to Use by Following Instructions on the Back Label! Cost is Very Reasonable and 16 ounce size contains many multiple doses!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Product for Results and Price! It is 1 Level Below Items Such as Castor Oil. That is the Only Reason I Listed it a 4 Star Versus a 5 Star Product. 
The Wal-Mart Great Value Extra Virgin Olive Oil is also Great to Use Daily as a Gentle, Non-Stimulant Intestinal Lubricant!

Equate Mineral Oil Offers Great Results!

I ordered this as part of a pickup order.  When I got home I noticed that the cap was not screwed on tightly and some of the oil had spilled out.  Fortunately, it did not damage my other two items in the same bag as they were both sealed plastic bottles.  But I am alarmed that this was sold without any temper protection.  No foil seal or plastic wrap around the lid.  I do not drink the mineral oil so I won't have to return it.  It just seems strange that this product which can be ingested does not have tamper protection.
