The clock part is separate and requires a battery. I rated and reviewed this watch before opening the back. Replaced battery and clock is now working.

As Antony states, the watch part requires a battery. The so called &#39;Perpetual motion&#39; just looks good.

no,it is spring wound by wrist movement when worn.the stem when pulled out just sets the time.

Does the Elgin FG7080 watch require a battery?

There is really nothing wrong with this watch.  If the watch stops it needs a new Battery, the wheels serve no purpose other than too make the watch look better. The only so called problem is the stated price. On line $34.99, as advertised $60.00 in store $63:00 plus tax....check it out.

Clock stops working if you dont wear a lot. Looks great but dont last long

got this as a gift about 7 months ago and the clock quit working on it.stem won't wind it up.where can it be sent to repair it.

Got this watch as a Christmas present in 2014. The clock stopped working 6months after owning. All the gears seem to be working but not the watch. So I would not recommend anyone to buy this watch.
