I do not see a rating on this filter. It is carbon activated, and is treated with Microban to eliminate microbial bacteria. It is also treated to help eliminate odors. It also is washable. Hope this helps.

great washable filter

works great for floor hvac. we have a large square vent in our living room floor that requires this filter. i used to buy a different one at Walmart but this one is much sturdier and has better support in the vent. we had to cut some off to make it fit but it works great and i will be purchasing this one again. This one is thicker and seems like better quality so we will see when i wash it. tThe other one i used to buy started to fall apart after so many washes, like i said i havent washed this one yet but seems it'll do much better. happy with purcahse and recommend if you also have a large floor vent.

Saving money 💰

i love the idea of this filter but it needs to be assembled not just cut to size including directions to stab holes into the filter and attach to frame. this instruction endangers the assembler as they wrangle filter and scissors (per instructions). I sliced my finger open on the scissors badly. You can stab holes just as easily with a screwdriver or snip them open with the scissors.

more dangerous than necessary

I bought this for my parents house where they smoke inside.. It was a little tricky to get the fasteners through the material, but once I figured it out, it went smoothly. It seems to have already made a difference in the smell in the house.

GOOD filter

I like that it can be cleaned and reused. i like the relatively low price. I however, had a very hard time cutting it to size. For that reason, I only gave it a 4 star rating.

The layering isn't connected to the frame well so it flops around making it hard to slide into the furnace. Eventually I grabbed a needle and thread and sewed it in a few places to the frame.

Difficult to install in furnace

Nothing specifically great or legendary about these curtains/tans with my kids. but he just kept going with the church.
