Yes, you can use just one level...or two. The lid fits all 3 baskets and they are numbered, so you place 1 on the bottom, then 2, then 3 when wanting to use them...and nest them 3,2,1 for low-profile storage.

You can use one two or three. When I steam vegetables to freeze and when I steam eggs I use all three levels but when doing an entree I just use one level

you can, but it does not work well for rice. would take you couple hours. I put it in for 45 min - ad it just got a little warm

I have not been without an electric steamer in 10 years. My first one was a 2 teir steamer with a turn knob style with max 60 minute timer! Old school! I cook entire meals in that thing. When the knob broke I still refused to throw it out because I could still turn the timer on with a knife! When I finally looked at buying a new one, I saw this 3 teir one and flipped! If you are on the fence about this product, hop on over and join me on the side where family dinners are a breeze and standing over the stove is a thing in your past!

I have had steamers for about 10 years and I love them. The last one I have had for about 5 years. When I got this one I was scared because I love my old one. I was worried that this one would not keep us with me. When I used this one for the first time I was shocked on how fast it cooked and how easy it is to keep clean. I love it am glad that my Husband broke my last one now. It is easy to use and has a lot of new features that my old one didn't have. I enjoy using it and am even excited when I get to use it. I also have checked other web sites and found that they are asking for around 60 dollars for the same item.

Have only used it twice so far. Works like I expected. Like it so far. Only worry is it liming up the element though they say to clean with vinegar every 8 uses so am hoping that will do the trick.

I purchased this steamer because I planned on making my own baby food and I am very satisfied with this product. I love that I can steam three different things at a time and it's a quick and easy process to use. So far I've used it to cook brocolli, beans, pears, and sweet potatoe. I've also used it to cook salmon. Each item cooked to perfection! It's also very easy to put together, use, and clean. I highly recomend this steamer!

I got this as a gift, it's amazing, it starts to steam instantly. My husband was shocked at how quick it steamed potatoes. I can make my meal for the night and for the rest of the week in 30-40 minutes. With only a few minutes of prep time. GOTTA LOVE IT! A must have especially for those that don't want to take a lot of time in the kitchen. Just put it in, set the timer and your done. Great gift. I'll be getting another for my parents.

It works well. Steaming process begins almost instantly. The clock, timer, & all works properly and is easy to set and use. It is a good product that looks good and works better. I have nothing negative, only good things to report. I would definitely recommend this product. The food does taste better when steamed!

WORKS AS ADVERTISED

We have used a steamer almost daily (often twice a day) for over 10 years now and this one is my favorite. Not only is it the prettiest looking, it far surpassed the other 3 brands I have used in terms of durability. With the heavy usage we give our steamer we are generally lucky to have one last much more than 6-8 months - thankfully our last Deni lasted 15 months, which is a vast improvement, so we decided to get another.

Love the 3 levels, can fit so many things in. We cook everything from veggies (broccoli, artichokes, etc), to hot dogs, hard boiled eggs, and salmon. We also prefer to reheat many leftovers in our steamer instead of the microwave (which dries out and "rubberizes" most foods).

Great Steamer!

We purchased this product not knowing what to expect. It is made out of plastic which does concern us. However, it cooks vegetables perfectly. With high summer temperatures, this steam cooker helps us to maintain a cooler kitchen while cooking vegetables that taste great. We are very pleased with this purchase. Vegetables are never overcooked if one follows the directions. Everyone in the family loves the taste even the most picky daughter.

Honestly, this pagoda-styled steamer makes life just a little too easy. You can throw in a meal for 2 -3 persons easy and give it less than an hour and you can have a delicious salmon steak, steam veggies, and basmati rice in under 45 minutes. The only effort you have to put in is marinating the meats and seasoning the veggies if you so choose. There's no longer an excuse not to cook, not when it is made this easy. I recommend this to anyone who for some reason or another does not have time to throw down in the kitchen, BUT still wants to maintain a healthy, affordable lifestyle. There are some things left to be desired as far as the recipe booklet and even the settings can be a little confusing. As long as you know how much time is need to cook the entire meal, you'll be just fine. It's the perfect machine to experiment with and it will take a little time to get everything just right (I'm still learning after about a month) BUT there is nothing I have made in this machine that hasn't come out delicious!

Well worth the money...

so far I love mine I cook fish and vegetables in. mine does not leak water like some of the other Reviews say. what I think is wrong with theirs is they don't have the Tiers right they are numbered 1 2 and 3 one at the bottom on up or they are over loading their Tiers with food making the steam and the water leak out plus the steam have to go out the top holes if it builds up it have to go some were. if you are getting water on you bottom half were the electronics are turn it off its not safe you have something wrong plus it will cause your steamer to go out. I got my steamer because I am not in good health and want to cut out all the grease out of my diet. my food has allot more flavor and I am sure it is allot more vitamins in the food. I am happy with mine I am sure you will not be sorry if you order this steamer.
