Oh yes! You can use this without going all the way around, thus making anything at all! Scarf, blanket etc. But the long loom set would make that easier.

On the round looms you could make leg warmers, toys, all kinds of things. Look into the many groups popping up on Facebook and yahoo groups..also be sure to check out the videos on youtube for ideas using these! If you need help learning how to double back (not go all the way around) I plan to post a youtube vid this week :D

Yes, you can make many things from sweaters, scarves, blankets, or afghans. With the round loom to do flat panels just stop at peg and go back and forth NOT around. You need to pick up a good book on this type of knitting. They have several stitches and patterns. I have bought 3 books on Amazon.com for a great price under 7.00; where in stores they are around 15.00 Hope this helps. I have a group of Senior Citizens who make many hats all sizes and we donate to hospitals for chemo and children ward hats. Just a suggestion. They can use hats all months of the year.

yes! you can make sweaters, blankets, leg warmers, wrist warmers, stuffed animals! theres no end to what you can make with these! if you want to make sweaters or blankets just dont string the peg closest to the little stick that you wrap yarn around to keep it in place. just skip that peg the whole project and you can make anything! you can also use them to make the sleeves of the sweater. some of the sweater you may have to hand knit but most of it you can make by loom.

Yes, by not connecting on the round and (reverse) going back and forth you can make scarves, blankets, etc.

It says you can use the largest one for shawls and small blankets. Just be sure to not knit all the way around. You nave to knit in a back and forth motion. Get more ideas on You Tube! Lots of great videos for looms.

There are a lot of different things you can make with the round looms. Scarves and bags being similar to doing the hats. Blankets are also done on the looms - you don't complete the circle. Just google free round loom patterns and you'll find lots of patterns & how-to videos. Also, some of the yarn websites have loom patterns too.

I recommend looking on youtube for making many other things.

yes; each same size ; no matter what the maker. The small is the small in each set. I teach seniors on these looms and use daily. We then donate the little hats to the hospitals for the newborns. So rewarding.

Any one with enough dexterity to write can do this with minimal help to start. Complexity depends on type of project

My grand daughter is 6 years old and she was doing a good job with adult supervision. I would say --with instructions an 8 year old could do the first level.

I don't believe there is an age on the package but because of the point on the hook I would say starting at 8 yrs.

This loom set is AWESOME!! the instructions are very understandable! I have never knitted or or crochet anything before, ths is VERY easy to learn! I understood how to do everything under 20 mintues! Im also left handed and that had me a little worried but no the instructions work great whether your right or left handed. I got bulky yarn and it seems to be working fine. :) definitely Satisfied!!!!!!!

I bought this item for me but it is great for 1st graders. We are working with some of the student at our school and it easy for the to handle. They are making scarfs for mothers day.

I was going to buy the boye brand loom in store but i wanted to make sure i was getting a good loom first so i looked up reviews online and found that this brand is the better loom. Sadly its only found on the walmart site and not in store.

This loom has round soft end pegs and the boye loom has grasping pegs that make looming fast less easy.

The kit is really awesome and personally i would recommend this over the other brand loom

Great for scarfs. Watched you tube videos for easy instructions. Lots of fun for adults and kids 9 and older in my house. Keeps everyone occupied during school breaks.

Awesome loom kit

This was purchased to utilize some yaarn that I have. I knew how to crochet but never mastered knitting. This item far exceeded my expectations and ease of use is awesome. I watched one of the videos to grasp the wrapping of the yarn on the loom. Once that was done properly the knitting and seeing the work in progress was quick and easy.. I made a pair of leg warmers and a tube scarf in two days, in just a few hours while watching TV . Found it extremely relaxing and quick and easy to see the project taking shape quickly. Will be trying some more complicated patterns soon.

Exceeded expectations, Ease of Use, love it

Really enjoy making all different size hats with it. Very easy to use. I can't follow knitting instructions , but this I can do. Depending on size it takes me 30 minutes to 2 hours start to finish.

Quick and easy

I've been knitting and crocheting for many years. Now I have arthritis in my hands which makes it more difficult to manage the knitting needles. I decided to try loom knitting and I'm so glad I did. It's much easier and faster. I'm just getting started with learning this new craft form and already I've made five hats. There are many patterns available on the internet. This is a great way to use up my leftover yarn by making hats for everyone in my family and for charity.

Great Product for Charity Knitting

The looms were very easy to use and the directions were relatively easy to follow. I liked the idea of the carrying case. More information needs to be given in regards to the type of yarn used. 4 ply yarns makes a closer weave where as baby sport, caron, or lions brand are a lightweight yarn and make a very loose weave. Choose your yarn based on how warm you want the item to be and you shouldn't have any problems. There is also a video on youtube to help you along.
