I purchased this product, received it, then called the manufacturer before I opened it. This design has a PERMANENT cover that does NOT come off for washing. It can only be spot cleaned. Nor can you throw the whole pillow in the wash or it will bunch up and likely need to be thrown away. For this reason, I returned it. However, the animal print design sold in the store and on line for the same price does have a removeable cover and you can "bundle" buy extra covers in different designs to put on it while you're washing the other.

Can machine wash but the batting inside might break down. I washed mine and did not dry it and it is great just like when I got it. They suggest spot cleaning this item but I had to wash it.

The cover comes off of mine and you can throw it in the washing machine with everything else.

I have had this pillow for 5 months. I have washed it IN THE WASHING MACHINE maybe 10 + times now and it's still holding strong!!

This is spot wash .. the cover is not removable .. and the tag on the pillow tells you to spot wash only.

I would say spot wash. You would have to put the entire thing in the washer because the cover is not removable. And I washed a bed pillow once and the material inside seemed to compress and get lumpy. I believe it's the same kind of filling in both.

You could stick it in the machine if you wanted to the cover doesn't come off :-(

The cover does not come off. I used a white towel under my baby's face to avoid stains and smells. Spot treating with baby wipes seemed to work very well.

I washed my on gentle and dried on low knit setting and had no problems. Besides whoever heard no hand washing with a new born!!

There is no cover; it is like a decorative pillow. I do not use it for feedings, but I do use it as kind of an infant seat on the floor. A wet wash cloth seems to clean it up just fine.

I registered for this and when I recieved it I was so excited to use it. I planned to breastfeed but my daughter had other plans. I kept the item and my daughter has absolutly loved it. It has helped her sit up and me not have to worry about her falling out.
