You take off the blue tank and fill from the bottom of the blue tank.

You pick up the water container and fill from the bottom of that. Works great!

Remove container from base. On the bottom of the container you should open water cap fill with water then close cap then place container on base.

You take the tank out of the base, turn it upside down, and there is a screw cap that you remove to fill it up.

It does refill on the bottom. There's a knob you screw off and just pour water into it.

I have not seen any white dust at all. White mist comes out, but I have not seen any white dust. I use tap water, but my city water may have softeners in it. Check your city water. If you have hard water, you may need to use distilled or filtered.

No, I havent noticed any "white dust" or any other byproduct. I use my humidifier daily in my newborn's room. I gave it 5 stars for quality, efficiency, and quietness.

We have been running it all the time for 2 weeks without distilled water and there is no problem - but we have very good water here.

I noticed a little bit of white dust beneath it after about a week. I just placed a plate beneath it to protect the dresser it is on- problem solved for me.
