after the first two tries it actually gets very easy for one person to set up and take down. the only think i dont like is that the big back window doesnt have a cover like the rest of them. it almost defeats the purpose of having covers over all the other smaller ones.

Nice tent

This tent held up very well in wet New England weather. There was a constant layer of mist and haze, making everything just a little bit damp, but the inside of this tent stayed perfectly dry. It also held up well in the small rainstorm we had. The inside does stay significantly cooler than any other tent I have had. While the walls do let in some light during the day, at night it is PITCH BLACK, even with campground lights and headlights passing by outside. The screened in porch is perfect for leaving shoes and other dirty items that you don't want left out but don't want in your actual sleeping space. This porch part will get a little wet in a storm as the rain fly doesn't cover it completely, but we just didn't leave anything out there that could be damaged by some rain. Overall a great tent!

Great tent that did well in wet weather

i liked this tent it performed well this last weekend only thing i found odd about the tent the back side of the tent is all mesh and open . So it is a fair weather tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this Coleman as an Awesome tent with a quick setup. It has plenty of large open space for the family. I do wish more windows had zippers for open and closure features, but all in all it's a great quick affordable tent!

Easy set up!

Really like this tent - we had an older one from 2019 and we broke a piece, so decided to purchase a new one. The poles in this one are more updated and easier to put together. I love that it has a little section before going into the tent and I love how dark it gets inside! You can't even see your shadow when you have a lamp inside, nor can you see the light from outside!

Love how dark it gets!

The darkroom tech is decent, but tent could stand to be a little bigger. The vestibule is short and the zip fly into the main portion of the tent is difficult to enter in and out without crawling on your hands and knees.

There's a lot to like about this tent w the dark walls, plenty of windows and doors, and handy porch area. It leaked water though where the tie downs pull the seams out a little between the porch and main body. Both sides, threads a little loose let water in. I'd try to seal it but could tell gap was too big and fix would not last. It's a design defect with the tent. Had to return it. Too bad, since the price was great. Disappointing for a Coleman product.

Lots to like but leaked on first use

When setting up tent for first time noticed a clip that goes on lower section for the screened in section is broken.  Will reach out to coleman for replacement part or return tent for refund.

Coleman Consumer Care

I work in the outdoors industry and use a wide range of brands and levels of quality. I am meticulous about using, maintaining, and storing gear properly, and a lot of my personal gear lasts years with high use. My main personal tent from a mid-high level brand is a decade old and performs like it's new. I bought the Carlsbad tent not to use professionally or in wilderness or adverse or rough weather conditions. I bought it for a car camping, established campground, fair weather FAMILY camping. After two nights, in the aforementioned setting, it has proven to be garbage. The seams are all loose and perforated the whole length. Why? It was not used in any wind whatsoever. It was not tensioned incorrectly or stretched in any way. There are lines etched in the nylon from where it was simply folded when it was stored, and holes are visible all along these seams. Why? It was swept and shaken to remove any sand or dirt or whatever before I folded/rolled it up for storage. Is it supposed to be stored fully assembled because the fabric can not handle being folded? The last night we used it, there was no rain- just light drizzle, barely more than a heavy fog. Nothing was touching the walls of the tent, yet the nylon completely wetted out and dripped in to the interior. I've had way cheaper tents that never did that, even in ACTUAL rain. This is a Coleman family tent, for kids and a dog, it isn't some high performance item that should need to be babied and fussed over. I dont buy Coleman  products to treat with kid gloves, and I dont know anybody who does. I don't know what to do with a tent that cant handle light morning mist. Giving it away will just ruin someone else's camping trip, but what an environmental crime for all this crap to go straight to a landfill after a single use.
