These type of mats are great for protecting your carpet the overall design and texture helped it stay adhered firmly to the carpet. It also perfectly protects against stains from the elements. It's a great value, I would recommend this product

Extremely Durable

I enjoy not getting stuck in my carpet anymore while working at my desk. I got the bigger sized mat and it's perfect. It had the lip piece that fits under the desk. Unlike old ones that didnt have this and your chair always got hung up on it, this bump out lip is great. I also have low pile carpet so it sticks in it nicely...no moving around while your moving your chair. The chair glides nicely over it too. I would recommend this desk chair mat to all those with carpet that are tired of getting stuck.

Heavy Weight Chair Mat

We use this floortex chair mat in an unconventional way which is to protect our carpet from our baby and toddler messes. We put this mat under the booster chairs of our kids to keep them from getting all their food stains on the floor. For this purpose, it definitely gets the job done. Spills are easily wiped off and we add felt protectors on the bottom of the chair legs which allow the seats to slide easily over the chair mat when we need to reposition our kids' chairs. The mats are not the hardest plastic, but they are much more tough and durable than most other splash mats sold specifically for the purpose of protecting floors from childhood messes. Although we can't lift this mat up to wash it like you can with other splash mats we like the fact that this mat has teeth which grip to the carpet to keep it in place therefore preventing it from being a trip hazard unlike some of the flimsy splash mats out there that generally move out of place quickly. The added bonus is that after we are done using it for this purpose we can also move it into the study and use it under an actual computer chair. Overall we are happy with this mat.

Tough Floor Mat

This mat is nice for a poll up style mat. It is thick enough to not crease yet still flexible. The chair rolls nicely as you would hope, makes rolling easier on carpet. Good quality mat, I recommend to anyone looking to make rolling a chair on carpet easier.

Smooth

I ordered this chairmat based upon the price - Walmart's price is simply the best anywhere. I took advantage of the "site to store" shipping option since there is a Neighborhood Market right down the street. When I picked it up, it was in a large box and I figured it had been rolled up for shipping. Not true. The shipping person obviously worked in a very warm environment which allowed the chair mat to be folded in half and then folded in half again upon itself.

It took 2-3 days lying in the sun, which is getting harder to find here, in order for the mat to relax and lay flat enough to bring it in the house and put to use.

It works great - like the one I had before that wore out after years of use.

Product Okay - Vendor Not So Much

The Floortex Cleartex Advantagemat Chair Mat for low pile carpet is very large. The mat arrived rolled in a box and us very heavy. Thankfully there were very easy to follow instructions in the chair mat box explaining how to straighten the mat and make it flat before using it.
It did take two people to unroll the mat and also to hold it flat. A third person had to place chairs on the corners if the mat to help it unroll. 

The instructions indicated it would take at least 24 hours for mat to lay flat on itself. In reality for us it actually took 3 full days before we could put on our office.

The mat is very large and gives me extra rolling room in the office to shelves and filing cabinets that I did not have before hand. The mat is thick and very durable. It does not move as you roll across it.

This product was shipped in a box that wasn`t right for this product! When I opened the box, I could see that it was all bent out of shape. I am still fighting with getting it to lie flat. I guess this was one way to ship it, but they could have at least tied it up so it would have been rounded, instead of bends all over it. Very amateurish.

Disappointed

Desk mat was thinner than I thought and chair keeps getting stuck in depressions in mat. Mat came rolled up in a box and was supposed to settle down in 72 hrs., not, even left in sun , still wouldn't lie flat. Constantly moves on carpet and rolls up when move chair.

Cleartex AdvantageMat Gripper

The previous mat I had lasted nearly 15 years, until it began to split and expose the carpet underneath it. The old mat was thicker, more rigid, and had many more spikes (teeth-like knobs that allow it to grip the carpet and keep it in place--just as an automotive mat). The old mat's spikes were also longer and sharper. After allowing three days for this product to relax, it is continually moving out of place. Alas, your competitors sold the same type of mat. Your price was better and that, and my need to protect the carpet, is the ONLY reason I paid $34 for this very marginal product. I spent less money on a new HP Printer--go figure! John A. G. Over-priced piece of plastic

This product is NOT worth buying.  (Low Pile Version) 
1) Plastic is so thin and soft,  a chair by itself creates dents that make it hard to roll,  after sitting on one spot for any length of time, you can't even roll the chair it's so embedded.
2) The spikes on the bottom are so small,  they do not grip the flooring at all.  It slides and moves and, believe it or not - Bunches up against an anchor point.
