I don't find that it does either. It just feels good. I was sleepless also and this pillow is a big help.

i don't think it really makes it either. it is very comfy. got one first for husband, and when he sleeps he sure can turn on the waterworks! lol. but he is fine with it. i have ordered another already. :D

i have been using memory foam for yrs. winter i use flannel, summer i use something a bit more silky.

the cover is nice and thick, i don't think you would have a problem if you use the right pillowcase. :D

It was not hot for me. The pillow already comes with a quilted zippered pillow case and I also put a pillow cover on it and it was not hot.

I use this pillow and i dont feel any hot or cool sensation i feel normal

In the year of having this pillow I have not noticed any heating or cooling. Its just cool when you 1st lay on it. It had never made my head hot or sweat.

I found that it DOES make your head hot. But I keep a fan blowing on me at all times, so although it is a annoyance, not inconveniently so.

does this type foam keep head hot and/or cool?

I'd suggest you go with the "Relax Right memory foam kid's pillow". It's about $5 more - but it's probably scaled down to a toddler's neck size and lift needed. If it doesn't work out, Walmart is pretty good about returns.

its a good neck support, but i don't know if would be a good neck support for a 3 yr old. i dont see why not.

this pillow may be a bit larger for a child that small. it is not soft, nor hard, but it is nicely thick for an adult with good support. for a child? i think it may be a bit to thick.

No, the Classic Molded Memory Foam Pillow is does not have blue gel.

Mine is the basic cream foam. It is a bit stiff at the start but will become more flexible and softer lofty feel after used a few times.

No this is not blue gel. This is just foam with holes in it.

Cream colored foam with ventilation holes. I love the feel and it is probably as cool as blue gel. Much cooler than my older one w/o holes.

I purchased two of these pillows, one for each my husband and I. Well, my husband loves them and they have such a soft outer cover. It turns out memory foam pillows are just a little too firm for me but the pillows seem like great quality and my husband loves them. Definitely a great price too!

This pillow was a great purchase for a guest room. We own 150 dollar memory foam pillows that we use, we love them and they have done amazing things for our necks. We wanted our guests to sleep really comfortably and share the memory foam love but couldn't afford to pay that much for guest room pillows so we thought we would give these a try. My sister recently stayed over and used them and absolutely loved them, I also have used one sitting on the couch reading and it is really comfy. They are soft and a medium firmness - and a great in-between cushion level for any type of pillow sleeper (feather or cotton or hard memory foam). They had a very slight foam smell but it went away when we let them sit out one night without pillow shams. For the price (2 for 28) this deal can't be beat.

Great Product for the Price

I ordered 2 of these pillows. One for myself and my husband so we both could assess them as well as enjoy them. So this technically is a review from the both of us combined.

This pillow is actually very nice. They arrived in perfect condition and I immediately removed them from packaging to examine. They come with a cotton cover that is removable and washable. The foam has a pleasant scent. The first night wasn't pleasant for me. I tossed and turned throughout the night. The pillow is too firm for my comfort. My husband slept soundly on it the first night. I later learned that the pillow was too firm for his comfort level as well.

These pillows are nice if you are looking for a pillow to prop yourself up to watch television or want to elevate a body part. Unfortunately, if you're the type that prefers to sink into your pillow where your body is in alignment with your mattress, this pillow isn't for you. It does not conform to your body however its very comfortable if you want something a bit firmer than feather filled pillow.

I bought this thinking it may help with my neck pain and some shoulder pain every morning. And I wanted to see memory foam was really all that good. I am here to tall you yes. I bought this and I love it I wake up feeling refreshed and energetic every morning

I purchased this pillow because in the reviews people said the pillow was firm and some even complained that it was too hard, that would have been perfect for me, I like a hard memory foam pillow but can't find one. Walmart used to carry them in the store, I'd use it till it softened then get another but they stopped cayying it years ago and I'm still trying to replace it. There was nothing wrong with this pillow if you like a soft pillow but it doesn't work for me. It seems that some they send out are softer and some are harder, unfortunately I got the soft one...

Too soft

This pillow is comfortable, a little on the harder side. So if your looking for a memory foam pillow that you will sink into and feels really soft this isn't the pillow for you. It's a little on the small side, I put a pillow case on it and it practically hung off the pillow. I would have liked this pillow more if it were bigger.

This pillow is comfortable but smells extremely toxic. It has the most horrible chemical smell that just doesn't go away. I tried to air it out for 2 days and cover it with 2 pillow cases but you can still smell it. It may less bothersome for those who sleep on their back since your nose is farther away from the pillow. I definitely would not buy this product again.
